I looked hectically back and forth, trying to find my family in the big crowd of people.
the arrival of my plane was announced and i inhaled and exhaled deeply.
'okay ev, calm down you'll find them'
i took of my phone and checked the time.
'okay i have 20 minutes left'
i put it back into the pocket of my pants and looked up again, analyzing the tourists running to their gate and screaming at their childs because they are too slow.
i sat down and closed my eyes shortly. I listened to the tangle of voices, the ringtune of a phone next to me that sounded like an alarm and the rain who drops at the roof.
i opened my eyes again and looked around. still the same, hectical running people with their suitcases and outside the planes, one just started flying and another arrived from a flight and every passanger gots out of the plane.
I stared lost in thoughts at the floor, when suddenly somebody touched my arm, shaked me and called my name.
"evelyn, evelyn wake up you're late"
the voices around me faded away like an echo and the people blurried like i look through a wall of water. i opened my eyes slowly and had to blink, because the sun that shone through my window dazzled me.
a few seconds later, i completly opened my eyes and looked at my moms face. "ev, get up, you're late, your flight is in two hours."
she said. i was confused for a moment but then i realized, that i will leave my homeland today and travel to america for a student exchange.
"fuck" i sweared and literally jumped out of my bed.
"hurry up i'll drive you to airport, dad and gale are at work and school already" my mom said and left my room.
by the way, gale is my little brother, he is seven years old and the cutest human on this planet.
"yeah, thank you", i called after her,
went to my wardrobe and threw, underwear, a black ripped jeans and a white t-shirt on my bed.
i sat down on my bed and took of my pyjama. 'why didn't i hear my alarm?' i pressed the home button of my phone, the display lighted up and the first thing i saw, was the alarm i have missed.
i realized 'ahh the ringtune i've heard in my dream, was my alarm lol' then i looked at the percentage that showed 1%. 'what? are you fucking kidding me? but i charged..ugh'
My gaze felt on the outlet in which the charging cable wasn't properly inserted.
'wow, nice start in the day'
"EVELYN, HURRY UP"
my mom screamed downstairs.
"YEAH I'M THERE SOON"
i yelled back and got dressed fastly, then i went to the bathroom, washed my face, brushed my teeth and
used just a little make up, like mascara, concealer and powder because i don't like too much.
i ran back to my bedroom, grabbed my suitcase, my phone and my charging cabel and stumbled more or less down the stairs.
i went to the kitchen, where my mom just ate breakfast. "finally" she said when she saw me.
i just grabbed an apple and asked her "could we leave right now? i really don't wanna miss the flight"
"yeah sure, lets go" she slurped the milk out of her bowl and got up of the chair.
we went to the door and got out of the house.
'goodbye house, goodbye friends, goodbye family, goodbye life lol see ya in one year again'
i was sad because i'll leave everything that i know, but i was excited to discover new. we drove to the airport and my mom helped me with submiting my suitcase and finding the right gate and so on.
we sat down and waited for my plane.
"i already miss you honey, please take care of yourself and come back again safe"
my mom said whiny.
i took her into my arms and said reassuring
"don't worry mom, i'll be back safe in one year, i'll call you when i arrived, okay?".
my mom nodded and hugged me tight.
"okay, i love you sweetheart"
she said and tried to smile.
the arrival of my flight was announced and i solved my arms of her.
"i love you too mom, i need to go, greet dad and gale from me, i see you in one year again" i said and smiled at her slightly.
"yeah, i will, see you honey, don't forget to call me"
she said and i nodded and aswered.
"yeah sure, i won't forget it, bye mom"
i waved at her and went to my plane, got in and searched my seat place, which was on the window.
i put out my phone, my headphones and my charging cabel, which i stuck in the outlet and began charging my phone.
then i stuck the headphones into my ears, turned on the music and waited till the flight starts.
finally the door got closed and the stewardess explained everything, like if the plane needs to land in water or whatever.
then finally the plane was ready and the flight started.
first the plane rolled at the floor and became faster and faster, until it lifted up and flew in the air.
i looked out of the window and saw the houses getting smaller and smaller.
finally we were at the optimal air height and the plane started flying straight.
i realized how tired i was, so i closed my eyes while listening to music and fell asleep a few minutes later.
heyy, this was the first part, it's short i know, but tomorrow is school and i need to study so much for some examns.😭
btw sorry if there are some mistakes, but i'm from germany and my english is not that good lol. well hope you like it anyway.
