A/n: The only character that uses first person is Horror
And to avoid confusion, "Inky" Is the other multiverse.

Inky and I walked into the house. Inky was just wearing his casual sweater and some shorts in order to appear less threatening.

I just decided to leave it up to Inky. "Inky" was more experienced than our Ink, so he should be fine.

I found that waiting was too boring for me after a few seconds, so I come in after Inky. the only ones there where our Ink and Dream.

Ink and Dream casually greeted me, but I could see Dream's eyebrow go up a bit. I motioned for him to come over, and he did.

"I just wanted to know why our Ink became that way," I slightly muttered. Dream snirked and chuckled a bit.

"I can tell you that one." Dream said. Before I could nod his head, Dream knocked me out cold and ran away.

---

"D-Dream?" I turned around to see Ink caged up and Dream giving him a cold, dead glare. Ink had some cuts on his lower arms and wrists.

"I'm going to give you something to make you feel special." Dream smirked and pulled a potion out of his back pocket.

I gasped slightly. It was a common potion, it was used to make plants grow faster. But, I've seen my bother use it on humans. It worked for them too.

Ink shook and cowered to the back corner of the cage, away from Dream. Dream laughed and kneeled down before him.

"Oh come on, Ink." Dream smirked. "It won't hurt... that much."

I tried to run over to Ink, I wanted to save him. But I'm completely paralyzed, I couldn't even cry or scream. I feel so helpless like this.

Dream went to his back pocket and pulled out a couple of things. A belt and a knife. Ink teared up and started hyperventilating.

"If you behave, I won't have to do these things." Dream growled. "Stop crying or you'll get more of a punishment!"

Ink nodded and wiped his tears away, going forward. Dream gave him the potion, and Ink looked very hesitant.

Dream growled and picked up the knife. Ink grabbed it and quickly gulped it down, coughing and tearing up green instead of his normal blue colour.

Ink fell to the ground and coughed violently, puking up black ink. I thought he only did that when he was exited.

"Get your soul out." Wait, what?! Ink never had a soul! I look quickly to see his sash was gone, and his soul not as light as a monster's soul should be.

I was so confused. How could he have a soul?! Did Dream give him one?! I stopped my questioning when I heard a scream.

"That was for crying." Dream hissed. Ink had his arm out, with Fresh cuts and blood running down his lower arm.

Dream motioned for him to get his other arm, and My vision suddenly went black.

---

I woke up and Immediately booked it to Inky. Inky was calmly conversing with Ink, and I sighed, and fell down, surprising them both.

Inky ran over and helped me up. "Hey, where were you? I was so worried I-"

I smiled and hugged Inky a bit. "Don't worry, I was just talking to Dream, then I passed out. I really haven't got a lot of sleep."

Inky sighed and smiled, but I think he knew I was lying. He pulled me up beside him, and he patted Ink on the head.

"You're Ink is really sweet, although he did strangle me a bit." Inky chuckled. "I'd talk more with you, but Horror and I have to go back."

Ink looked a bit disappointed but smiled a bit. "Bye, I'll see ya sometime, right?" He asked. Ink smiled and nodded happily.

As soon as we got outside, Inky sighed. "Oh god it took the life outta me trying not to attack the dude while he strangled me."

I laughed a bit, but I got really curious. "What did he tell you?"

Inky's smile dropped a bit and sighed. "He told me that Nightmare threatened Blue and Dream's life if he didn't join him."

"He declined it, but Nightmare proposed another deal. He would let Ink leave his stressful life of trying to save the AUs, and he could do whatever he wanted. He accepted after that."

I gave him a sad smile and shook my head. "I took Dream away and told him our objective. He gave me a much different story."

Inky made a portal to his AU, and we went through, sitting on a randomly placed bench. I sighed a bit.

"You know how Ink had all those bandages on his arms? And how he was so much taller and physically stronger than you?"

Inky nodded. "Dream gave him, probably multiple growth mixtures used for crops, and would cut his arms and slap them with a belt if he did anything that Dream couldn't stand.

"He shouldn't have cared though, right?" Inky asked. I shook my head.

"His sash was missing, but he apparently had a soul. it was much darker than a normal monster soul though."

Inky gasped but then sighed a bit. "How do you know that's the story?"

I frowned. "He knocked me out and gave me a memory, Ink's memory. That's probably why Ink told you something."

Inky hugged my arm. "You should've been more careful-"

"Dream was the one who helped me get outta that hell hole," I said, smiling a bit. "I trust Dream, only because he has the most empathy out of the lot. Y'know?"

Inky sighed and hugged my arm tighter. "What should we do now? You know I've got my own Dream and Blue and my own universe to defend."

I thought for a bit, but once I got my answer, I was sure of what I was going to do. I smiled sadly and Inky raised his brow.
