Zack smiled when he noticed me hurrying through the yard.
"I almost thought you had gotten lost in there, what took you so long?" He asked as i opened the rustly metal fence gate.
"Mom." I mumbled. His face softened and his sparkling blue eyes sadned.
"I understand, common lets just get going," he whispered grabbing my wrist and pulling me behind him as he began walking again. I stumbled along, letting my fingers dig into the straps of my backpack as we traveled.
"Hey Claire?" Zack turned to face me rather quickly. I jumped and turned, tilting my head.
"Yea zack?" I asked. He paused a moment most likely confused by the jumpyness of my voice.
"Wanna get Pizza after school today?" He asked ignoring my jump, much to my admiration.
"Sure," I smiled as i replyed, hurrying along, trying to forget how jumpy i had been. Zack eyed me but smiled and grabbed my hand this time pulling me along, turning back slightly to talk as he did.
"Gonna spend homeroom in the art room again painting?" He asked. I nodded happily.
"The art teacher doesnt mind. She doesnt have a orginal homeroom to begin with and our homeroom teacher is just happy to be rid of one of us," i smirked making my best friend sigh shaking his head. He always used to call me crazy for skipping things like lunch or honeroom to go draw but my mother didnt know i was an artist and i planned to keep it that way. If i took the actual art class she would find out about my talent for art.
"Well, can i join? I actually take art and i need extra work on my portrait." Zack sighed and i laughed nodding.

Sometimes it hard to remember that this is all a memory of when i was happy. Its hard to remember that moms gone now and zack is sick. I wish i could live in my memories but sadly......

I have to wake up and face the facts, im all alone.
