Retsuko grasped Haida's hand tighter. She liked the look of the city at night, but something was spooking her. Maybe it was the fact that she was leading Haida towards the karaoke bar. It was better for him to see now than later. Retsuko was pretty proud of herself. Confronting her problems and telling the truth to Haida, and Fenneko tomorrow. Does this mean I deserve to get myself some chocolate? Hell yes! "LOOK RETSUKO! A KARAOKE BAR!" Haida's excited voice snapped Retsuko back to reality. "Yeah, that's where I'm taking you!" A small, excited gasp escaped Haida. Thank goodness he's excited. Thought Retsuko, relieved.

"Hello, Retsuko. The usual- Oh!" Retsuko walked in first, and held the door open for Haida. The receptionist was talking, "A room for two, then?" After a confirming nod, she paid and then walked down the corridor with Haida. "You come here a lot?" Haida asked. "Yeah," Retsuko replied, "Every night." They reached the end room and entered. "This place is pretty nice," Haida commented, running his hand along the wall. Retsuko stayed silent and picked up the song chooser. "Haida," she began, "I'm about to show you a side of me not many people know about. I could count the people that do on one hand." Haida sat down on one of the leather seats, intrigued. "Please, don't be scared." As she pressed the button to start the music, she could see Haida's confused expression. He'd see.

Electric guitar boosted out of the speakers. A shocked Haida blinked, not believing his ears. Then, Retsuko belted out a scream. Haida all but fell out of his seat.

"I WAS ALWAYS SEARCHING FOR LOVE!
ALWAYS SEARCHING FOR THE ONE!
I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BLIND I WAS,
BECAUSE HE WAS RIGHT THERE THE WHOLE  TIIIME!
THE WHOLE TIIIME!"

Retsuko stopped, panting. Haida straightened himself up in his chair that he had almost fallen out of. "Oh my god... THAT WAS AMAZING!" His eyes were glimmering with awe and love. Retsuko blushed heavily. "I go here to let out all my rage," she admitted. After a moment's thought Haida spoke, "You know how I said that I only really knew the ideal Retsuko in my head...?" Confused, Retsuko nodded. Haida smiled, "I think the real Retsuko is even better." Wearing a humongous smile, she flopped down on the chair next to him and lay her cheek on his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders. They sat like that for a while, murmuring lovingly to one another.
