I wake up barely being able to move. My head is pounding and my vision is blurry. My legs feel like jelly, but I feel the alcohol come roaring out of my throat, and I run to the bathroom. I barely make it. I flop down so my legs touch the cool tiles with my head in the toilet feeling like if I move I'll throw up again. I need to shower. I drag myself into the shower and turn on the water. The water feels as if it's crawling onto my skin. I stand there letting it wash over me. I go to grab the soap and almost jump out of my own skin."No. NO. What happened? What the hell happened?! What did I do?!" I said to myself in panic.
I suddenly feel wide awake.
What happened?! Okay think. What's the last thing I remember? Wait what's today- December 3rd right? Where's my phone? I need my phone. It's...THE 5TH?! What happened the past two days?! Okay wait- calm down. Who's the last person you called... Jason. Perfect. Maybe he'll have some answers.
I pace my apartment listening to my phone ringing. It's hot. Am I sweating? Bloody hell.
Damn it Jason pick up- please pick up.
"Hello?" Jason says in a raspy morning voice.
"Hey! Jason what happened?!"
There's a pause "What?"
"What happened?"
I wait. Nothing.
"YESTERDAY!? WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY?!" I snap.
"Jesus Samual- what the hell is your problem?! We just went out drinking for your birthday" Jason said in a startled tone.
My birthday Jesus.
"How much did I drink?!"
"Too much apparently. You were swimming in liquor and sweating booze when I left."
"I was swimming in liquor and you left?!" My blood is boiling.
"Relax. I didn't leave you alone. Thomas and Henry were with you. I had to go. My mum's house pipes burst."
"Alright. Alright. I need you to come over now."
"Why? What's wrong?"
"My arm. It's inked and it's not washing off."
He paused. "I'm on my way."
