Toni's POV:

Well it's been a few days and Kevin's funeral is going to be tomorrow. I still haven't told Cheryl about the complications of my release from prison. I got out on bail but that's just until the trial. I still killed someone, and there was hard evidence on it too. If I lose the trial, then I'll be going back to jail. The jury has to agree I'm not guilty in order for me to stay out. I was just afraid if I tell her, she'd be even more depressed than she has already been and I didn't wanna do that to her, especially not a day before Kevin's funeral. Jughead and the others all knew that I might have to go back and they've all agreed it's best not to talk to my girlfriend about it yet.

"That looks cute on you." Betty said to Veronica with a smile as they tried on clothes. It was 9:00 pm and Veronica, Cheryl, Betty and I were all at Betty's house sleeping over. Veronica just replied to Betty's comment by connecting their lips. "Gag me." Cheryl joked as she watched the two love birds make-out. Lately the four of us have been trying our hardest to be happy. We spent the rest of the night watching lame movies and eating a bunch of popcorn and candy. Eventually, 3 am rolled around and we were all getting pretty tired. But to be honest, we were trying to stay up because we were dreading the fact that it was almost time for the funeral. "Guys, we need to talk about this. Who is getting the bed and who is getting the floor?" I said as I stood up from the bed and gestured to the bed and floor. The three of them were all sprawled out on the bed in their pajamas and they just looked at me. "Well, literally everyone here is dating someone in the room. So we need to agree that two of us sleeps on the bed and two sleeps on the floor... and I'm thinking since it's Betty's house, her and I should get the bed." Veronica replied. "Oh cause that's fair." Cheryl said, clearly tired and cranky. "Cheryl, if we were sleeping over at thistlehouse, who would get the bed?" Veronica asked knowingly as she crossed her arms. "Well I wouldn't make my girlfriend sleep on the floor. Besides that's different, Toni and I live together. It's our bed. Why would we sleep on the floor?" Cheryl replied. "Just get on the floor, Blossom. You and Toni can still have successful sex from the floor." Veronica joked. "we aren't going to have sex in front of you two. What do we look like, horn dogs?" Cheryl added. "Alright, whatever we'll sleep on the floor." I jumped in as Cheryl let out a big sigh and took some pillows and blankets to the floor. Once our area was set up, I got under the blankets and cuddled up next to Cheryl. We talked for a few minutes before she finally fell asleep. I couldn't sleep, I had the trial on my mind. I looked up at the bed to see if Veronica and Betty were asleep. "You guys awake?" I whispered. "Yup" V replied with a sigh. "I'm shocked you are still up you and Cheryl seemed cozy down there." Betty added quietly. I just sighed and carefully stood up and climbed onto the bed with V and Betty. "Guys.." I whispered as I stared up at the ceiling. They just looked at me and I continued. "I'm really nervous about this trial. Once the prosecutor sees that video of me stabbing and beating Nick to death, it's over for me. and I'm afraid that...--" I said as I closed my eyes and let a few tears roll down my cheek. Just then I felt Veronica's hand on mine. "Hey, it will be okay. You aren't going to lose Cheryl, ever. I'm not gonna let my best friend lose the one good thing shes ever had in her life. She needs you. but I think you should be honest with her about what's going on. because it's going to hurt her ten times worse in the end if you don't and this blindsides her." V said to me. "Guys... I have an idea." Betty said as she began to sit up in the bed. "I'm listening." I said as I turned to her. "Ok... the main thing that they have against you is that video. and the only people who has seen it are the cops that arrested you that night, right?" Betty asked. I just nodded and she continued.

"Exactly. So all we need to do is make sure the prosecutor doesn't see that video." Betty said.

"But Betty... the prosecutor already knows there is a video to watch. They are gonna be just a tad bit suspicious when there's no video." I replied. "Not if we sneak into the police station and steal the tape, then simply go back to the shed that Nick was killed in and reenact what happened. but only we change the events a little to make it look like Nick tried to kill you first, and that you were just defending yourself. Then we go back to the station, save that version of the security footage and put it back where the old tape was found so they never know." Betty added. I just looked at her confused, "Ok how would we even do that? Nick's dead. His body isn't even at the shed anymore so how are we gonna--" I began but Betty cut me off. "Jughead." Betty said with a smirk. Veronica and I just turned to Betty. "Jughead?" We said in unison, clearly confused. "We get him to wear some sort of hoodie, and we make him attack you then come at you with a knife. We make sure he never shows his face to the camera, and keeps his hood on at all times. It will be like a stage fight." Betty replied.
