"Care?" Mike called as he entered their shared bedroom, seeing his wife laying on the bed.

"I, I don't want to talk." The woman replied, him letting out a gentle sigh.

"I think we should." Mike sat on the end of the bed, her moving away from him. "Baby, please. I can't loose you." He said, terrified that his wife would leave him.

"You don't get it. I love you, more than anything else but that doesn't mean that I am happy." Carrie quickly replied, not wanting her husband to ask her anymore questions.

"I know. I wouldn't expect you to be after everything that I have put you through." Mike said, Carrie sat up slowly, pushing her hair out of her face. "Baby,-"

"Mike, please, I can't do this. I know you want to talk about this but I can't right now. I don't feel the same. I don't know if I could ever feel the same with you." Carrie confessed, small tears falling down her face.

"I understand things aren't ever going to be how they were but honey, maybe they can be better." Mike moved closer, placing his hand over top of hers. "Can we at least try?" He questioned, licking his lips as they moved closer.

"One thing," she pulled away from the kiss, holding her breath. "No talking." She said, before their lips collided again.

1 Hour Later

"Care," Mike said, watching her get out of bed, covering herself with one of the sheets.

"I said no talking." She said quietly, walking into the bathroom. Carrie looked at herself in the mirror as small tears fell from her eyes and down her face. She felt like her heart was breaking. Her chest hurt from the emotional pain that she was trying to push through. She'd never regretted having sex with Mike, until then. She wasn't ready. Even though she told him she was, she wasn't ready.

Carrie was ashamed of what her marriage had become. How could something that started out so joyous and so lovely turn into something so incredibly dark and ugly? It scared her. She was struggling more than she was letting on to Mike. Carrie felt uncomfortable more than anything after what'd happened with Kyle. The only reason she wanted to have sex with Mike was because she thought it'd change things. She thought that maybe they'd rekindle their chemistry.

"You say no talking but I don't care." He said opening the bathroom door.

"Well I do." She shook her head, wiping her eyes before moving past her husband, him following her.

"Carrie, what, what is this? What's going on?" Mike questioned, the two walking down the stairs of their house.

"I'm done. I can't do this anymore. I'm sorry." She shook her head, getting her things from the kitchen counter.

"Wait, no, no Carrie. Please, let's talk." He tried stopping her only she pulled away, tears steadily falling down her face.

"Talking cant fix this-,"

"You promised me you would never give up on me. You promised that you would never leave. Carrie please don't do this." Mike stood in front of the blonde, her shaking her head.

"I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry doesn't do shit. If you were sorry you wouldn't be doing this. Carrie, I need you in my life, Carrie please-,"

"I can't."
