Chapter 5 The File

I have no clue how long we’ve been walking for or where we were going, I had never been to this part of town before. The streets are dark and there are no streets lights on. Everywhere I go there are people sitting down on the side walk freezing to death. If I wasn’t the way, I am I would feel sorry for them but I don't. I keep walking with Ash just wondering where we were going, when we walk in to a 2 story building. Inside the building were books everywhere, book shelves full of books. There were books all over the floor and all over tables. I have a look at the door that we just walked through, on the door in gold writing it said Book Shop and just below it there was an open sign. I look around in amazement, there were so many books and I stared seeing flashes of books in a room and a man and a little girl sitting and reading and then they were laughing.

"Do you like books?" Ash said behind me.

"I like books." I said trying to hide my love for them.

"This is my friends shop he's here some were."

"Why are we here? You said  you were going to get the file for me."

"I am. The file is in my room."

"Your room? And your room is here."

"Yes it's up stairs. Come on."

Ash held out his hand for me but I didn’t take it, he shrugged and walks up the spiral stairs and I follow. We enter into a room that looks like it takes up all of the 2nd floor. There were more books up here and  a double bed with black sheets. The floor was a dark wood and there was one windowed above the bed.

"Welcome to my home." Ash said

"Huh...so where is the file?"

"Getting down to business huh. I'll go get it."

He walked to a wardrobe and I could hear a clicking noise and then he walked back over with a file and gave it to me.

"Here you go. Happy reading."

I looked at the file that's in my hands and the label that’s on top of it. The name was mine Alexia Rose. I opened the file reading the first page all it was about was information I gave to them like my name, age etc. The next page was about what they did how then changed my DNA. I don't understand half of it. There was something about wolf blood and some kind of DNA that I had no clue what it was. The next page was about what changes happened to me. The changes were listed in the order it happened.

1. feels hungry for blood

2. The blood is too much for her and she kills the boy.

3. She starts screaming out in pain and her eyes change colour from light green to gold.

3. More screaming that lasts for 30 more minutes and when that happens every bone in her body breaks

4. Now she looks like a wolf. She is trying to get out of here.

5. By this point she has killed at least 12 of our men.

6. 3hrs later she looks like a girl again but her skin looks white and there is blood all over her and she does not have clothes on.

7. Later on we give her human food and she eats it.

I will have to take some tests and find out what we are going to do with her.

There is nothing left in the folder. It didn't tell me who did this and why. It told me nothing.

"Are you okay?" I forgot Ash was here

"Um...yeah I'm fine. But was I, was I fine.

"Ok if your say so."

"How are you involved in this?"

"Oh...that story well I um...volunteered. I was at someone's place and went out to get a smoke and some guy came up to me and started asking some questions and then asked if I would like to make so money and I said yes. He told me about some test that would help people with sickness so I said ok let's do it. I went with the man and when we got to some wired place I blacked out. All I remember was pain. My bones were breaking and now every month I'm a werewolf."

"So you’re not like me."

"No. not really."

No one said a thing because there was nothing to say. I didn't find the silence bad. It was good because I have no clue what I'm even going to do now. What was I even thinking looking in that folder. What did I think I would find in it? Nothing that's what, I was just cruel.

"How did you get this?" I said lifting up the folder

" As soon as i found out what was really going on I grabbed whatever file I found and ran for it."

"How did you find my file, I mean it happened 5 years ago I know how everything there is label and it’s by year."

His face looked sad as if he does not want to tell me the truth but he speaks anyway.

"It was some were else under a label called terminate. They were going to kill anyone that got away so they can destroy the project. I overheard them talking about it."

There was so many things I wanted to say, so many this I wanted to ask but I couldn’t because just at that moment someone walked in.
