"You thought you could get rid of us? Pathetic." Insanity giggled his eyes alight with a burning flame. "I'm always here," Paranoia whispered into my ear, her words icy and dangerous like a cold metal gun to the temple. "I missed you," Sadness sulked. "I didn't," Denial huffed turning his back. "Happiness!" I wailed as I covered my ears in a pathetic attempt to block the noise out. "Help me!" Happiness turned, a warm smile upon his lips. The smile stretched higher and higher until it looked unnatural and insane. "I'm not happiness dear." Depression smirked. "You tricked me!" I screamed pulling at my hair. "Oh?" Depression tilted his head in mock surprise. "Me trick you?" He laughed, but there was no smile on his face now.
"Did you really think happiness would last?"
"Oh darling, you've been tricking yourself this whole time."
