Chapter 22

Steph's POV

"Stephanie!"

"Steph"

"Lottie? Steph?"

"Guys?"

"Girls!"

There was a continuous knock on our hotel room door. Lottie was groaning while covering herself with the duvet going back to sleep. I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"Just a second!" I shouted sleepily. I went to open the door and they all stumbled infront of me. "What are you guys doing? It's 3am in the morning!" I exclaimed looking at them lying on the floor.

"It's Zayn" Liam said standing up. I furrowed my eyes. "What about Zayn?"

"Our official Facebook just posted this after Liam got the call" Niall said showing me his phone.

"After five incredible years Zayn Malik has decided to leave One
Direction. Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis will continue as a four-piece and look forward to the forthcoming concerts of their world tour and
recording their fifth album, due to be released later this year.

Zayn says: "My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."

One Direction say: "We're really sad to see Zayn go, but we totally
respect his decision and send him all our love for the future. The past five years have been beyond amazing, we've gone through so much together, so we will always be friends. The four of us will now continue. We're looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour."

Simon Cowell says: "I would like to say thank you to Zayn for everything he has done for One Direction. Since I first met Zayn in 2010, I have grown very, very fond - and immensely proud - of him. I have seen him grow in confidence and I am truly sorry to see him leave. As for One Direction, fans can rest assured that Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis are hugely excited about the future of the band (©)" I read the article, I stared at them blankly, backing away and soon sat down at the side of my bed.

"Uncle Tim was calling you non stop but you're not answering" Louis said.

"But why?" I ask.

"His relationship with Perrie, that's why" Harry rolled his eyes.

"We tried reaching out, but he is not answering our calls anymore" Liam said, almost breaking into tears. I look at them each and just feel really upset, they've been together for 5 years and Zayn didn't even waited to atleast finish the tour.

"C'mon boys" I said wearing my jacket walking outside heading to the rooftop. We all stayed there for awhile.

"What should we do? I can't even open my Twitter or Instagram anymore" Niall said putting his phone on the table.

"All we need to do is to continue showing the love to your fans. Forget about the hates and the negative comments thrown at you, it's just a waste of time. Okay?" I said crossing my arms. "When you're ready thank them, your fans, don't say anything about Zayn, just thank them for the love and support" I said. My phone started ringing.

"It's Uncle Tim, I have to take this" I said standing up walking away from them. I turn around looking at them, upset and hurt shown in their faces. I sighed before answering.
