Leia threw herself onto the large bed. I want to sleep, she thought to herself as she stretched her body out over the bed. But those stupid dreams won't let me.
She turned over on her side. I've tried everything. Soft music, warm milk, softer blankets. I even taken medicine. But nothing is working.
I can't tell father about this. He'd think the dreams were from my wish to join him in his fight against the Empire. Then he'll stop my training.
Leia sighed as she closed her eyes. I can't let that happen. Not now.

"Her majesty will be with you shortly", the guard said before closing the throne room's doors behind him.
Ezra gave a long whistle. "This place is really something", he said, looking around.
"It's one of the finest palaces in the galaxy", Lux replied. "It has the most history as well. One of the greatest queens and senators lived here once. And Ezra, put your goggles back on. No need to frighten the queen with thinking your with the Empire, right?"
Ezra quickly nodded and slipped his dark goggles back on. They covered his yellow eyes perfectly, but still allowed him to see out of them perfectly.
"Her name was Padmé Amadala, right?", Sabine asked.
Lux nodded. "She was known for her bravery, her cunning, and her gentle and loving nature." Lux shook his head sadly. "It's sad to think that she didn't even live long enough to even make it past her thirties."
"What happened to her?", Ezra asked.
"Darth Vader killed her", Lux answered, the sadness never leaving his voice. "On the day the Empire was created. Empire day."
"Wasn't she pregnant or something like that?", Sabine asked.
"She was", an authoritive voice answered. Everyone turned to see the queen of Naboo herself, decked in finest attire. At least Ezra thought so. "She was carrying twins when she died. They died as well." The queen shook her head. "A sad story. One that should never have come to be."
"Your majesty", Lux said, quickly bowing. Ezra had to shake himself out of his stupor before bowing as well. I've never seen anyone so dressed up, and yet so beautiful. Do all the women dress like this, or just the queen?
"I am Lux Bontri", Lux continued. "We come on an urgent matter."
The queen gave a small chuckle. "I was wondering when rebels would come for my help", she said gently. "How can I be of help? If it is in my power, I shall do my best to uphold it."
Lux nudged Ezra in the ribs. "That's your que",he whispered.
"Oh! Uh..." Ezra quickly stood up. "My name is Ezra. I...uh...well, this is going to sound weird, but do you believe in the force?"
The queen nodded. "Yes, I have witnessed it myself. I have even visited the Jedi Temple when it was still part of the Republic."
Ezra breathed a sigh of relief. "Good. Well, the force led me here because there's someone here in this palace with the force. I was told to take them as my...padawan, I guess."
The queen blinked in surprise. "Aren't you too young to be a master?", she asked. "The masters I have seen were all well into adulthood. You are still but a child."
"He has excelled in his training", Lux answered, standing up. "His master is on board our ship. He received a vision just as Ezra did about finding someone who is strong in the force."
Ezra saw the man next to the queen shift uncomfortably. "I understand", the queen said, nodding her head. "All children of the force must be protected. I assume it's a child. Do you know the name of this person?"
Ezra shook his head. "No, but I know what she looks like."
The queen gave a small nod. "Describe her then", she ordered gently.
"She has dark brown hair that's tied back. She's also pretty short, and kind of skinny. She was wearing a white flowy dress when I saw her. Oh, and she has yellow eyes."
The queen blinked in surprise. She turned to the man standing next to her. "Organa, is this not the description of your daughter?", she asked. The man didn't answer. He does know something, Ezra realized. I thought he was hiding something.
"Your majesty", one of the guards said, walking into the room. "Miss Leia Organa wishes to enter your presence."
"Perfect timing", the queen said, "let her in."
"Your highness", Organa said quickly, "She may not be the girl their looking for. I request that you let her rest."
The queen stared at Organa. "There is only one way to find out", she responded. "Correct me if I am wrong, but is there something you're not sharing with us, senator?"
Before he could answer the guards came back into the room with a girl trailing behind them. "Your majesty, Leia Organa."
That's her!, Ezra thought excitedly. That's who I saw in my dream!
"My dear", the queen said gently, taking the girl's hands into hers. "Are you well now that you've rested."
"Yes, your highness", the girl answered, giving the queen a small smile. "Very much so."
Lie, Ezra thought to himself. She looks like she hasn't slept in forever. A new thought quickly passed over him. She's getting the dreams. She's being attacked in her dreams by the dark side.
Like me, two years ago.
"Leia, these people are part of the rebellion", the queen said gently, yet seriously. "One of them is a jedi knight."
"Well, I'm not a jedi knight yet", Ezra cut in, "but I'm close enough."
Leia stared at him with an unsure expression. "I thought the jedi were all dead?", she asked.
Ouch. That's harsh.
"Nah", Ezra said, shaking his head. "We're pretty hard to kill off."
The queen stared at the girl before turning to Ezra and asking, "Is she the girl you're looking for?"
Ezra nodded. "Yep, that's the one."

The one they're looking for?
"Excuse me?", Leia asked, looking back up at the queen. "I don't understand. What do you mean by, 'the girl you're looking for'?"
Her father put a hand on her shoulder. "Leia", he said, his voice unusually more serious than usual. "These people were looking for you....because you possess the force."
"What?" Leia's heart nearly stopped in her throat. "But...No, that's not possible. Neither you nor mother have the force. How could I have it?"
Her father sighed, a wave of sadness suddenly clouding his face. "Leia, your mother and I....we couldn't have children. We tried for years, but always ended with the same results.
"And then a friend of mine, a very dear friend, gave birth to you, but died right after giving you your name."
Leia noticed a tear trail down her father's weary face. "I had to keep you away from your father. He would have turned you into a monster. A weapon of war. So I took you in, and your....my wife and I raised you as our own."
Leia could hardly breath. "But...How...Why.....Why didn't you tell me?", she finally asked.
"Because", the man in front her stuttered, swallowing back his own tears, "we never wanted you to think for a second that we, or even your mother, didn't love you."
Leia wrapped her arms around him. "Father", she choked, trying in vain to push back her own tears, "I've always known that you both loved me."
For what felt like eternity they just stood there, holding each other and crying into each other. Now, more than ever, she didn't want to let go of him. He was her real father.
"So", Leia finally said, giving a little sniff and straightening herself out, "how does this involve these people."
"Well", the boy with the goggles said, stepping forward, "this is actually going to sound really ridiculous, but your conscience told me to find you."
Leia raised an eyebrow. "My conscience?", she asked, not entirely believing it.
"It true!", the boy insisted. "She and a boy told me that I had to protect you from the Empire."
"I've been protected this long", Leia said firmly. "Why should I go with you? What makes you think that you can protect me better than my own father?"
The just stared at her for a moment, almost as if he was unsure about something. Then he took off his goggles, revealing bright yellow eyes.
"You....You have eyes like me", Leia stuttered, losing all of her composure.
The boy nodded. "Yeah, I was born with them. Just like you. My parents were both sith lords before they had me, so it's really just part of the genetics. You parents- or parent probably- had yellow eyes."
"Her biological father", Leia's father said. "He was born with yellow eyes as well, though he was with the jedi."
Leia continued to stare at the boy. "So my conscience came to you and said I needed to be saved?", she reiterated.
"Well, yeah", the boy answered. "You and someone else."
"Who?", Leia asked.
"Your twin", her father answered. "Your mother gave birth to twins, you and your brother, Luke. Your powers were so great that we couldn't keep you both hidden in the same place."
Leia's heart actually skipped a beat. I...I have a twin brother?
"Your majesty", a guard said quickly. "The imperials are growing impatient. They wish to see you now."
"Imperials?", a woman in Mandalorian armor questioned suddenly. She pulled out her guns. "Is this a trap?"
The queen shook her head. "No. You both came at the same time. I'll keep them settled while you all escape through the window." She pointed to one of the windows. "That one will lead to the valley, where I assume your ship awaits. Come Bail, we must move quickly."
Leia looked at her father. "I will come back", she promised.
Her father gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze. "I know you will", he whispered, then hurried away with the queen.
I love you, father.
"Come on", the boy said, slipping his goggles back on. He grabbed her hand and led her toward the window. "We need to hurry."
"I can run on my own, thank you", Leia retorted, pulling her hand away. "My father trained me for this sort of thing."
