"Hi mom" Kenzie says.
"Hi sweetie how was school?" Her mom said sweetly.
"Good um.. can I go to Jayden's play?" She said back. Jayden was another old friend of hers. She was an actor, another reason why she aspired to be one.
"No I already told you your not going anywhere." Her mom said. Mom was really strict never let her do anything.
"Mom I'm tired of this. I can never do anything and I'm almost 14. When will you ever let me do something different?" Kenzie said back.
"Never now go do your homework. If you don't stop whining I'm taking away you phone for a week." She said.
"Ok." Kenzie said trying to stay strong but as soon as she got in her room she couldn't take it anymore. She cried and cried and cried."When will you ever learn mom! When will you ever learn that I need to be someone in my life and that I don't need to listen to you to be a doctor!" Kenzie cried out. Her mom wanted her to be a doctor but she refused. Her mom would get so mad at her when people asked what she wanted to be cause she answered an actor and her mom hated it.
Her phone buzzed. It read:
Jayden: I think I found your chance of being an actor.
Kenzie: Am I reading this right?
Jayden: uhh I hope so
Kenzie: who what HOW!
Jayden: there's this girl, Addie Smith. She's an actor and she's going to an acting conference in LA and needs one person who wants to be an actor to go with her to learn some things.
Kenzie: you know my mom would never let me go...
Jayden: do you think she would go with you?
Kenzie: ugh I'm not sure. LA? That's so far away from Chicago?
Jayden: wait don't you have cousins there?!
Kenzie: YOUR RIGHT DNSISHOSVSI
Jayden: calm your self
Kenzie: BYE ILL BE BACK WITH MY ANSWER
Jayden: woah ok bye lol
