Yay, I love you.

Doyoung jolted awake from his alarm. He raised his head in shock and sat up in his bed, sighing in relief. "6:30 am... Thank God," he said.

The teen turned his alarm off and stepped out of bed. He sat there for a moment, stretching his arms over his head and rolling the kinks out of his neck. Doyoung stood up and bent over to touch his toes, resting his hands flat on the ground. After that, he stood up straight and pointed his toes and rolled his ankle around, repeating the action with his other foot.

He walked over to Jungwoo, his younger brother, and pulled the covers back up. Doyoung decided to let the younger rest for a while longer while he got ready.

The teen walked over to his bathroom, twisting the tap on and wetting his toothbrush. While Doyoung brushed his teeth, he kept his eyes anywhere but the large mirror in front of him. He spat the paste out into the sink and rinsed his mouth. Doyoung grabbed his face wash and squeezed a bit out onto his palm, massaging his face with the gel for a while before washing it off. He shook the water off of his palms and patted his face dry.

6:45 AM

While he undressed, his second alarm went off. Doyoung slipped his jeans up quickly and buttoned them before grabbing a random sweater from his closet. He grabbed his phone and hit snooze on the alarm before running to his bed to clean it up. While he organized his pillows on his bed, Doyoung picked up one of the pillows and threw it at Jungwoo.

"Jungwoo-s, get up!" Doyoung said.

The younger groaned, shifting around before finally cracking his eyes open. "I'm up..." He said. Jungwoo slowly got up, stretching his arm over his head.

Doyoung checked his phone. "It's 6:58. You have enough time to get ready if you hurry," the older said.

The blond nodded and walked into the bathroom to get ready. Doyoung walked over to his younger brother's bed and quickly cleaned it up.

Doyoung grabbed his bag and slip-on shoes. He went over to the kitchen to make a quick breakfast before they left for school.

While whisking the egg whites and yolks together, Doyoung hummed to himself. He sprinkled in a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper before pouring the egg mixture into the hot pan.

7:15 AM

Doyoung reached into his pocket and hit snooze on his third alarm, refocusing his attention to his eggs.

"Good morning, hyung," Jungwoo said when he walked into the kitchen.

The older hummed. "Good morning, Woo-s," he said. Doyoung poured half of the scrambled eggs into one plate, the rest in another. He grabbed both of the plates and sat down at the table.

"We have ballet after school, so meet me at the front once last period ends," Doyoung said while eating.

"Okay. Do you have work after too?" Jungwoo asked.

Doyoung nodded, "yeah, until eleven forty-five, as usual," he said. Work was something most teenagers didn't do during school, as they had parents who would pay for their expenses. However, for the brothers, that was not the case.

A year ago, Jungwoo and Doyoung were kicked out of their home by their own parents. It started with the elder brother's interest in toy dolls and tutus rather than plastic race cars and firefighters. Their parents were sure that the elder Kim would grow out of it and become a good role model for his younger brother. But then Doyoung enrolled in ballet lessons behind their back. What's more, is that the elder took Jungwoo with him. For the parents, that was the last straw.

They had three days to find somewhere else to live, so Doyoung was quick to find a cheap apartment. Sure it wasn't exactly the safest-looking area, but it's been working well for the teens for the past two years.

The younger nodded and ate the rest of his eggs. Doyoung took both their plates and placed Jungwoo's into the sink. He flipped the lid of the trash can open, dumping the last bit of his unfinished eggs into the garbage bin.

7:45 AM

Doyoung reached into his pocket and shut his last alarm of the day off. "Let's go," he said, slinging his bag over his shoulder and slipping his shoes on.

Together, the brothers left their apartment and made their way to school.

"First day of being a senior... I bet it's exciting, right hyung?" Jungwoo asked while he walked alongside the older.

"It's not that exciting. You'll be a senior next year too," Doyoung said.

"Yeah, then you'll be in college," the blond said.

Doyoung's smile slipped off. "Uh-huh..." He said. College... The ravenette thought. College was starting to look like a far-off dream if he was being honest. Doyoung knew he wouldn't be able to afford it for himself, much less himself plus Jungwoo. Working overtime at a minimum wage job just wasn't bringing in enough money for them to be spending it on things like College.

"Hyung?" Jungwoo asked, waving a hand in front of his brother's face.

The older shook out of his trance. "Huh?" He said dumbly.

"You're spacing out, hyung," Jungwoo said, a worried expression on his face.

"Oh, it's nothing Woo-s," Doyoung said. The pair entered the school, stepping off to the side.

Doyoung sighed and pulled out his wallet. "Here, make sure you buy lunch," he said and handed the younger a bill.

The younger took the money and slipped it into his pocket. "Thank you, hyung! Make sure you eat too, okay?" He said.

"Of course," Doyoung chuckled. "I'm off, bye," he said, waving to the younger before walking away.

"Bye, hyung!" Jungwoo said. Once the older was out of sight, the teen walked off to his first class.

I'm literally so glad I've stopped writing chapters with like 1000k words and 1000000000M time skips.
