I pull away and looked into his eyes. They were a dark brown with the perfect shaped below his thick eyebrows. I never knew how much I admired him...

I connect our lips once again as our lips began to move in sync.

We were soon interrupted by my phone ringing. It was my mom

N: mom are you okay? I put my phone on speaker so the both of us could hear.

M: hello. Is this the daughter of Jane Anderson? An unfamiliar voice asked me.

N: Wait. Who is this? Where the hell is my mom?!  I ask as me and Zion paid attention to the call

M: this officer Johnson here. I'm calling to tell you that your mother is currently in the hospital now due to two gun shots in her lower abdomen.

I could feel my heart drop to the pit of my stomach.

My breath hinches.

My eyes start to water.

N: w-where is she? Is she okay? Please tell shes okay. Tears started to run down my face.

M: ma'am we don't actually know yet. She was in critical condition when he got here. She's in hospital off of Oakland lane in the emergency room.

I hang up the phone.

"We gotta go." I say hurrying up off the bed to put on a jacket and some shoes on.

"Zion! What the fuck are you doing!? Get up!" I yell at him as he just sat in bed at the news he just heard.

I snapped him out of his thoughts and he gets up and puts his shoes on.

We rush out the house and into Zion's car.

"Oh shit shit shit!!" I say panicking in the passenger seat.

"Nina. Calm down she gonna be okay"
Zion tells me speeding towards the hospital.

I couldn't say anything. My words were trapped in the back of my mouth.

A few minutes later we arrive at the hospital.

We both rush out the car and through the entrance to the hospital.

"Where is she! Where's my mom!" I shout running towards the front desk.

"Uhm ma'am I'm gonna need you to calm dow-"

"Fuck that! Where is my fucking mom!"

"Nina" Zion says as he rubs my back trying to calm me down.

The nurse clears her throat. Clearly she was getting annoyed.

"Name please"

I compose myself.

"J-Jane Elizabeth Anderson"

The nurse types the name up on her computer.

"She's in critical condition right now so you aren't allowed to see her yet. But you may take a seat in the waiting room for them to call you up" she tells me pointing towards an area full of chairs.
