As morning came and gone, evening approached the city of Tokyo. Chaeyoung and Mina made their way out of the Internet Comic cafe, slightly tired but up for something spontaneous.
"How could you play so many games and your fingers not hurt from tapping on the keyboard so much?" Chaeyoung asked. Mina laughed. "I'm on the computer all the time. I manage stats." She said and pretended to tap on her imaginary keyboard. Chaeyoung giggled.
"Well what now?" Chaeyoung asked. Mina grinned and grabbed a hold of Chaeyoung's hand and began to run, laughing as Chaeyoung complained about the running.
"Mina! Slow down!" Chaeyoung whined. A big smile played on Mina's face. She hadn't had this much fun since well forever.
"Let's get a drink!" Mina shouted happily. Chaeyoung pulled on Mina's arm and stopped the older woman. She spun the older woman around and pulled her into her arms.
The two were silent as Chaeyoung looked up at the older woman and Mina looked down at her. Whispers around them snapped Chaeyoung out of her thoughts and untangled her arms around Mina.
"Yeah. Let's get a drink." Chaeyoung said softly. Mina bit her lip and straightened up her coat. She nodded and walked quietly beside Chaeyoung to the bar.

"I always had this moment of doubt in my head. I couldn't confess things such as love to anyone because I...I didn't want to be rejected. We all fear it. To be denied the love you think you deserve is unbearable." Mina took another sip of her wine and winced as the alcohol burned her throat.
"I didn't want to be denied the love I longed for. I didn't want to be hurt." Mina set down her wine glass and sighed. Chaeyoung listened quietly. She wasn't being paid for this.
She wasn't told she had to sit and listen to Mina's drunken confessions. But it was the least she could do for the older woman. And although she wouldn't admit it, she enjoyed Mina's company, sober or drunk. Mina chuckled to herself.
"I'm in love right now." She said and began to laugh. Chaeyoung looked at the older woman questionably. The older woman swirled her finger in her drink. She bit her lip and fluttered her eyes.
"Hey, don't be like that." Chaeyoung joked and playfully hit Mina's arm. The older woman lifted her head and gazed at the young girl.
"My god. You're so beautiful." Mina breathed out. She gently touched Chaeyoung's cheek and rubbed it with her thumb. Chaeyoung grew stiff. She had never been touched like this. And although her job was to stroke her clients ego's with her sweet talk, she had never touched them as gently and intimately like this.
She had felt something in her stomach. It was a feeling unfamiliar to her and yet she was curious. Her heart was recklessly pounding in her chest. She hadn't felt this way around Mina before. Why now?
"Chaeyoung I lo-." Mina was cut off as someone interrupted them. "May I get you another drink?" A tall Japanese man asked and slipped behind Mina clasping her waist. Chaeyoung stared at the man. Mina made no effort to push him away as she began drowning herself in her wine.
"Pretty young thing you are." He said to Chaeyoung and winked. Chaeyoung scoffed and balled her hand.
'The nerve of this guy.' She thought. The man leaned against Mina and smelled her hair fueling his sexual desire. Chaeyoung hopped to her feet and grabbed Mina's hand whipping the older woman out of the man's grasp.
"You pervert." She spat. The man stood tall above Chaeyoung. He puffed his chest and smiled. "Don't be that way. I just want to get you two some drinks." He said. Chaeyoung placed Mina's arm over her shoulder and her arm around the older woman's waist.
"All you men are the same assuming you'll get something out of your silly attempts. You dare touch her again and I will personally take matters in my own hands to see that your dirty hands are slit from your wrists and stuffed in your dirty mouth." Chaeyoung growled and turned on her heels carrying Mina with her out of the bar.
"Mmm." Mina mumbled and stumbled against Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung signalled her chauffeur. She helped put the older woman in the car and sat beside her.
Through the quiet ride her mind went back to bar. What Mina was going to say lingered in her mind. She had never threatened a man before nor for the sake of a woman.
Her actions tonight had made her think questionably about herself. She knew now she could no longer just call Mina a client.
They've talked like old friends, gone to places that Chaeyoung never thought Mina would ever go to. She was finding out things about Mina that she hadn't known before. She found herself looking at the small details of the older woman.
Like how there was a small mole on the bridge of her nose. Or how Mina walked, she thought she walked rather different from everyone. She found out the older woman had a liking to penguins.
The little things Mina did had not gone unnoticed by Chaeyoung. She was too curious and too....smitten. She carried Mina up the stairs and opened her apartment door.
"So small." Mina said then pinched Chaeyoung's nose and giggled. Chaeyoung blushed and led Mina to the bedroom. 'She's drunk. What do I do with her?' Chaeyoung thought. She placed her on the bed gently and began taking off her shoes and jacket.
'She was going to tell me something. What was it?' Chaeyoung thought and tucked her underneath the blanket. She sat beside Mina and sighed. She slowly turned her head and looked over Mina. She studied her face and bit her lip.
'God, she looks so beautiful like this.' She thought. She gently moved a strand of hair away from Mina's face. She was trying to make sense of all the feelings she felt tonight.
She couldn't understand why of all the people Mina was the one who was making her feel this way. She fell in love with a foreigner before, Chou Tzuyu. She thought it was love. But the same question played on her mind. What is love?
I'll try and update even while I'm out of state doing some stuff. I'm sure I'll have time in between cities if I'm chilling at a hotel to update. How's the story so far? Enjoying? -Drea 🏢📱
