Zakir's stuggles

Zakir was on drugs he has gone astray leading on the wrong road. Everyone have notice it beside mum. Cause a mother who brought up her son on the straight path would never suspect her son to go down that lane.

Everyone informed Ayesha about the incident about Zakir . But she was still in DENIAL and just refuse to accept it.

He would miss school and classes ,exams time he wouldn't even write. Or he would go to exam room high and some how he manage to just pass that subject. But he was lost and he needed help.

The only help he could get was if he go to a rehabilitation centre. So my Mamoo and them had a meeting by his house to help Zakir. Mum refused to go she said she don't believe her son is on drugs.

Mothers will always think like that . As they know what type of a person they brought up and stuff but at times we have to accept the change sometimes it's a bad change and other times it's a good change. But at the end of the day Allah knows best and it's all his plans ,cause his plans is the best of plans.

So Daddy and I went to my mamoo's house for this meeting. And we met with a lady who was from a institution that deals with addicts. And she explained to us everything about the institution and about the addicts. And she informed us to go to the Johburg meeting on a Wednesday.

So that Wednesday came and we told mummy that we going somewhere (not mentioning the name of the place) . And Off we went. We reached , I saw many young boys there some had full body tattoos ,while others had scars for life. It's amazing what drugs can do to a person.

The colonel had spoke to all the new comers, we were one of them. And it was mum turn to speak and mum said she thinks Zakir is on drugs due to Wakeel's death.

The colonel spoke in a way to make mummy come out denial. She accepted that Zaakir is on drugs. So we decided to try and get Zaakir to the meetings and help him from been an addict.

I have learn many things by this one meeting.
I have learn by just seen a person I will know if they on drugs or not, by their behaviour, their way of speaking .

And we must implement the 3-C's rule :
No car
No cash
No cell phone

Cause just with those 3 things you will be able to get your drug any where. And if a person carry on like this only 3 things can happen to them 1. They can die. 2. They can go to jail. 3. They will insane.

That's why we need to get help for Zaakir before any of these 3 things happen to him and then we lose him forever. I wont be able to face losing another brother even thou we don't get along and we fight like cats and dogs . I still love him.

So with all the persistence we got Zakir to come with us to the meeting . My dad and uncle Zunaid made sure he comes for the meetings. And not long after that he was ready to go.

I was in grade 10 at that time and so was Zakir. He was off to Durban to the rehabilitation centre and from there , he was gonna be send to the farm. How I was gonna miss him .

As we were going on holiday over seas for the first time ever . And he not gonna be with us . How sad but Allah have his reasons and Allah knows best so we will leave all in allah's hands.
