Two three-year old kids were playing at the sandbox at the park, their parents chatting by the nearest table from them, near to see them but too far to be heard.

Then, the mood on the kids' side seemed to have changed from joyful to solemn, grimm if possible.

The little girl who sensed the tense atmosphere, looked at her friend who was the cause of the sudden change.

"Ka-ye whats wrong?" the little girl asked.

"It's nothing Ja-ye. I'm fine." the boy replied looking down at the lump of sand he made.

"Don't lie to me Ka-ye, I know your lying, tell me!" the little girl said shaking her friend.

The little boy sighed "Its just that, mommy and daddy and me will be moving and were gonna be far from each other Ja-ye."

"Really Ka-ye?!" the little girl exclaimed which recieved a sad nod from the little boy.

"Oh." the little girl said, but then her eye caught the silver ring she had on her little finger.

"Oh!" the boy looked up hearing his friend exclaim the words.

"I have an idea! If we are away from each other then why don' t you wear my ring so that when we grow up and forget each other's faces you have a remembrance and when we meet each other again you can give me back my ring!" the little girl explained.

The boy lit up a little at her words and pulled up slightly the sleeve of his jacket revealing a blue and silver bracelet.

"You can have these too so we both have remembrances!" the little boy said.

"Fair enough!" the little girl said and they grinned at each other and continued playing in the sandbox until it was time for them to go home.

When the little boy and his mom and dad were a meter away from the little girl's parents, he let go of his mother's grip and hugged the little girl immediatly.

The little girl didn't hesitate to hug him back. "See you!" they whispered to each other and let go. They waved goodbye and walked away contentedly with their parents.

A little sad though.
