"Alright class. Today we will be covering the jobs you can get out of crimonology classes. The top 3 are become police officer, and a detective. Lets talk about the steps of becoming a true detective first..."
Now Im listening.
(A/N This may be boring so if you don't care about the process to becoming a detective in the UK just skip to where I put ***)
"From your very first day, you'll start your foundation training, building on your existing skills and picking up all of the policing knowledge you'll need to become a detective. At first, you will be called a 'trainee detective constable'. As a trainee detective constable, you will start a two years' probationary period with 18 weeks of intensive training"
"The NIE test is an 80 question, multiple-choice examination that tests your knowledge and application of law and procedure. All of this will be achieved within your first two years, after which you will be successfully confirmed within the rank of constable"
"Can we repeat the test if we fail"
"You have two attempts to pass the exam. You'll be based on a borough team, either within a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) or a safeguarding team" CID is definitely for me. They deal with incidents like suspicious deaths, serious assaults, robbery, burglary and major property thefts, domestic abuse etc. More action.
"I want to become a detective one day. After hearing about all this training and support I'll be getting, I'm not scared anymore about failing!", Amanda exclaimed. I hear her parties are amazing. I've been invited a few times but declined.
After freshers week, I decided to not go to many parties anymore. Crazy. I had a banging hangover every morning I swear, it still gives me the shivers.
"Once you are confirmed as a substantive detective constable, you will remain with your borough for a further year before having the opportunity to further develop within the Metropolitan police and all it has to offer"
So, this is what Ill be going through in two years time. I begin my training at 20 and become a real detective working for the MET by 23.
unbelievable.

"Chels? Chelsea?! Stop daydreaming and deliver the young man on table 12's cakes!"
"Huh? Oh, sorry Norah"
Heck, right now, that's only a dream. For at the moment, I'm an 18 year old waitress at Larme, a popular patisserie in London. We have the best cakes in all of London!
"You always do that! Daydreaming as if you're at home! Well, you're not! Younger than me or not, I will teach you that...", Oh, Norah. The cold but warm-hearted head pastry chef at Larme. She is 25 years old and engaged to some businessman - she never really talks about her private life. She is a European girl (forgot where her accents from) with brown hair, which is always tied in a sleek ponytail, and light green eyes.
"Hey! We're you listening?!"
"Yeah, yeah. Just gimme the plate to serve the poor man", She shoved the plate onto my hands angrily and took out another batch of cakes from the oven.
