Dark Phantom Watches Me

This happened when I was 13, in California. I was in bed trying to sleep when suddenly I heard a soft thud. I looked around my room for the thing that made the noise. It was hard to see since it was dark.

I looked around and locked my eyes on a figure in the corner. It didn't move, so I thought it was just my imagination, so I tried to sleep again. Five minutes later, I opened my eyes to see that... thing standing next to my bed watching me. I moved my hand slowly to the table and took my battery powered lamp and tried hitting it, but the thing disappeared. I stayed up for ten minutes to see if it would come back. It didn't, so I went to sleep.

This next event happened when I was alone in my room. I was on my laptop playing Overlord 2 when suddenly I heard someone whisper my name in my ear. I was frightened. I looked to my left, but saw nothing. My right, nothing. I got up and went to the kitchen to get a snack. I grabbed a packet of chips and some soda and went back to my room... and saw the figure standing by my door!

I could clearly see it. It looked like it was wearing a long black cloak. I didn't see its face because it was looking down at the ground. I was standing right in front of it. It started reaching its arm out to touch me.

"Jennifer..." it whispered. I dropped my snacks and cola on the floor and ran. I ran to my parents' room and locked the door. I didn't cry or scream because I wasn't that kind of person that screams about everything. I sat there for 1-3 hours. Finally, I opened the door. I saw nothing. But when I stepped out, hands wrapped around me and I blacked out.

I woke up in my bed. I got up and looked around. Nothing. I still always see the figure at the corner of my eye. I don't care if you don't believe me. I just want to get this out. I'm scared. It's now 3 a.m. and I can't sleep. It's in the corner... watching me....
