Indira
I woke up the next morning to a snoring Jacob beside me. I rolled over to check the time on my phone and for some reason, I suddenly got this uneasy feeling in my stomach. I just ignored it because I didn't want to think too much about it so I got out of the bed, careful not to wake up Jake, and made my way to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, washed my face then headed downstairs to make some breakfast. While rummaging through the fridge, my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and saw 'Cariña', a nickname that Dad gave Chanel and I, meaning "sweetie/sweetheart".
"Hello?"
"Hey babes! What's up?" my sister, Chanel asked at the other end.
"Nothing really, just woke up feeling kinda queasy."
"Mhm," she replied, suspiciously. "Did you and Jake, you know?"
"Why you wanna know," I giggled.
"Oh I'm so sorry for asking, Mrs. soon-to-be Perez," she laughed.
"Whatever, but yeah we did."
"Oooo I knew it!" she shrieked. "I just knew it!"
"Oh hush," I laughed. "And he made me late for my meeting too."
"Damn, y'all some freaks. Going at it for HOURS!"
"CHAN-" I was suddenly interrupted by a pair of arms wrapping around my waist, from behind, and soft kisses on my neck. "Jake stop," I whispered, covering my phone so Chanel wouldn't hear.
"What, I'm not doing anything," he mumbled in my neck.
"Hello," I said, putting back the phone to my ear and sliding out of Jacob's grip.
"Where the hell did you just go?"
I eyed Jacob. "Sorry, I was kind of distracted."
"Oh I see," she said, obviously smiling. "Well I'll talk to you later."
"Kay, bye."
"Now back to what we were doing," he smirked.
"Uh, WE weren't doing anything."
"Aww c'mon babe," he pleaded. "We didn't finish where we left off from yesterday."
"Well that's-"
I couldn't even finish my sentence because it felt like I was going to explode. I sprinted as fast as I could to the nearest bathroom, downstairs, and threw up last night's dinner. I didn't realize Jacob ran after me until I felt him holding back my hair from my face.
"Babe, are you okay?" he asked, with a worried look on his face.
"Y-Yeah, I'm okay," I replied, washing out my mouth and looking up at him.
"Are you sure 'cause it's not like you to just throw up out of the blue."
"Mhm," I nodded. "It was probably just all that stuff I ate last night."
"I knew you were eating too much," he implied. "But don't you think you're, you know...."
"Pregnant, right?"
"Yeah.." he nodded. "I mean besides yesterday, we've done...it numerous times."
"I know," I sighed, sitting down on the bathroom floor. "But do you think we're ready for that big step?"
"It may not have been planned, but I know that we will be ready no matter what," he assured, sitting down next to me and pulling me into his lap.
"I just hope our careers won't get in the way of it because it can get stressful for both of us."
