Westley's favorite season is spring. Spring brings new beginnings. And rain. Particularly thunderstorms. Westley loves those. Because of the thunder and lightning. Those were powerful and induced fear. Plus, they give spring a dark feeling to it.
Currently, it was only raining. That's cool and all, but Wes could go for some thunder right about now. She was currently at her favorite coffee shop, waiting in line. She hated socializing, so she was listening to music instead.
I don't like anyone better than you, it's true
I'd crawl a mile in a desolate place with the snakes, just for you
Oh I'm an animal, hand me a tramadol, gimme the juice
You are my citadel, you are my wishing well, my baby blueI used to like liquor to get me inspired
But you look so beautiful, my new supplier
I used to like smoking to stop all the thinking
But I found a different buzz
The world is a curse, it'll kill if you let it
I know they got pills that can help you forget it
They bottle it, call it medicine
But I don't need drugsCause I'm already high enough
You got me, you got me good
I'm already high enough
I only, I only, I only got eyes for youDo you see anyone other than me?
Baby, please
I'll take a hit of whatever you got
Maybe two, maybe three
Oh you're phenomenal, feel like a domino, fall to my knees
I am a malady, you are my galaxy, my sweet relief, oh oh ohI used to like liquor to get me inspired
But you look so beautiful, my new supplier
I used to like smoking to stop all the thinking
But I found a different buzz
The world is a curse, it'll kill if you let it
I know they got pills that can help you forget it
They bottle it, call it medicine
But I don't need drugsCause I'm already high enough
You got me, you got me good
I'm already high enough
I only, I only, I only got eyes for youDon't try to give me cold water
I don't wanna sober up
All I see are tomorrows
Oh, the stars were made for usI'm already high enough
You got me, you got me good
I'm already high enough
I only, I only, I only got eyes for youOh, I only got eyes for you, oh
Oh, I only, I only, I only got eyes for youIt's her turn to order now. Fucking finally. She took out her earbuds and walked up to the counter.
"Can I just get... a hazelnut coffee with a little cream and sugar?"
"Sure. Can I get a name?"
"Westley"
"Alright. That'll be $2:50."
Westley handed her the money and went to sit down. She sat next to the window and looked outside. Not many people out today because of the rain. A couple walked by the window, sharing an umbrella, arms around each other. God, what Wes would give to find love like that. She kept watching a man walking a dog and a woman with a pink umbrella walked down the other side of the street, but nobody else was around. Man, how long does it take to make one coffe-
"One hazelnut coffee for Westley?"
Seems like she spoke too soon. Westley got up to get her coffee, thanked the woman, and walked out side. The cup says 'Wesley'. Hmm. Typical. But she shrugged and walked on. She had more important things to do today.
There was a chill in the air now, along with a lull in the rain. Westley popped up the collar in her leather jacket, hoping that would help. She was glad she decided to wear it over her T-shirt today. Her old Stones shirt would not have kept out the chill, but the jacket does that job pretty well. She walked on, her combat boots splashing in the puddles.

Wes rounded a corner and saw her first destination up ahead. The neon 'open' sign told her that she had in fact arrived in time, and she walked inside.
"ALEX I GOT YOUR DESIGN READY" she yelled into the empty bike shop. There was a crash and a string of curses from the back room. A middle aged man walked out.
"That sure was quick, West. Let me see it." She handed him the drawing.
"This is amazing, when can I get it done?" He asked while still admiring the tattoo design that Wes gave him.
"The shop is open every day but I'll put you in for 4pm next Friday. Sound good?" She asked.
"Sounds perfect. See you, West. And thanks again!"
"Bye Alex. See you then." And she walked back into the cold.
The rain had started again, and Wes finished her coffee. She threw away the empty cup and continued down the vacant sidewalk to her next destination.

Westley shoved her hands in the pockets of her skinny jeans. God, why couldn't she have taken the bus. She underestimated how far away this place was. She turned the last corner and saw the building. Finally. And she went inside.
