Lilly danced down the sidewalk under her pink umbrella. She was happy to have things to do today, and decided to take the longer way to her destination. She walked past a man walking his dog, and stopped to pet it. A Dalmatian named Grey. So cute. She continued on.

————————

She walked around a corner and saw her destination. The old, grey door had an open sign on it. She walked inside. Looking up, she admired the old metal tiles on the ceiling, so many colors, she wonders where they all came from- "ooof!" She ran into something and fell over. "Fuck!" Oh. The something she ran into was a person. Lilly scrambled to get up, picking up her umbrella and putting her glasses back on her face.

"Oh tea and biscuits I'm so sorry!" Lilly was falling over herself trying to apologize. The other person stood up.

"Don't sweat it. I'm not hurt. No harm done."

"That's nice to hear. So who are you?" She asked. "Oh my chai I shouldn't ask like that-"

"It's fine. You don't need to apologize." The girl said, fixing her leather jacket. "Who am I? Well it differs. Angel to some. Demon to others. But most call me Wes. Or West. But my name is Westley. And you are?" The girl, who Lillian now knows as Wes, finishes.

"My name is Lillian. But you can call me Lilly!" She says cheerfully. "What brings you into this store?"

"It's been one of my favorite shops for years. Bought all the decorations in my house and shop from here.  What brings you here?" Wes asks, leaning against the wall and looking at Lilly who was rocking back and forth on her feet and looking around in excitement.

"I have been looking for a gift for my grandma. She wants a coo coo clock and I thought an antique shop would have a cool one." Lilly supplied. "Anyways, I really hope I didn't hurt you too much"

"You need to stop apologizing. But, if you really want to make it up to me, you could accompany me to dinner?" Wes leaned her back on the wall and looked down at Lilly, seeing as she was so much shorter.

Lilly stopped rocking and looking around. She starred at Wes. "I um I what you me I um what are you um are you asking me out?" She stumbled over her words.

Wes laughed and Lilly blushed. "Yeah. I'm asking you out. Unless you don't want-"

"No! I mean no. I would love to go on a date!" Lilly exclaimed. "Um...where?"

Wes pushed herself off the wall. "How about 'Anne's Dinner' tomorrow night? 7pm?"

"Sounds good!" Lilly said quickly. Wes chuckled again.

"See you then, beautiful." She winked and walked away.

Lilly was a blushing mess. Once Wes was gone, Lilly squealed and spun around. Excited about her date. Today was even better than she expected.

Lilly was successful in her clock finding mission. She hoped her grandma would love it. She made her way to the nursing home and greeted the lady at the desk.

"Hello Mrs. Shannon! I'm here to see my grandma! I brought her present!"

"Go right in, honey, she's been waiting."

"Thanks!" And she walked down the hall to her grandma's room.

Lilly knocked "grandma it's me!"

"Come on in, dear." And Lilly did.

"I found a clock for you! I could hang it if you like. And I have an amazing story." Lilly said excitedly.

"Please do hang it dear and oh I would love to hear your story"

Lilly went about hanging the clock and retailed her story of meeting Westley.

————————

"-and then she asked me out! I have a date tomorrow night!" Lilly spun around, arms up in the air.

"That's wonderful, hun. And thank you for the clock."

"You're welcome. It was nice to see you." She gave her grandma a hug. "See you next week!"

"See you then, bye Lillian!"

"Bye!" And Lilly left the building.

She made her way home, dancing along the sidewalk, expressing her excitement for her date.
