(Nightmare's POV)
Good, she did go back to sleep, I was hoping she would.

"Hey (y/n), sorry for dropping into your dream like this, but I figured it might be easier for you to make a decision this way, " I tell her.

She looks confused. Heh, maybe I should've started off with me being able to enter people's dreams, nightmares whatever.

"And another thing, I can enter dreams, so you're not dreaming me up. "

Golly I hate having to say Dream so much, it's annoying.

(Y/N POV)
So I'm not dreaming him up? That's good to hear. I really thought I'd lost it for a moment there.

"So this group of yours, what do they do?" I ask him, that is why he's here after all. Well at least that's the reason he gave.

"Well, we have some enemies that we fight. They don't understand us, we mainly just sit at my castle while the others come and go. They have their own aus, but we fight because we're not understood and they don't try to understand us. We do what we want to for our own reasons, and they just assume everything. It's annoying. But if you don't feel like fighting, you could hang out at the castle and in my study. There are many books there and you wouldn't be alone, " He replies, not looking me in the eyes till he finished.

Misunderstood.... I understand that all too well.

"Have you ever been judged because of what you are? Like because what you're associated with is darkness and they can't see the good in it. That just because of how you were born it automatically makes you something you aren't nessesarilly? " I ask him, somehow feeling like he, unlike others, would understand, would care.

He looked shocked before looking at the snow covered ground. "Yea, I have. I grew up with a twin brother. He was the talk of the town. An amazing person who did his best to help others, but me, I was nothing to them. They kept away because I guarded the wrong side of the tree, because I was darkness and he, well he was light. But he never came to save me, not once. He watched me suffer and did nothing to stop it."

I looked at him, the air around us warming a little, he understands. Tears slowly leaked from my eyes. I didn't know I could feel enough to cry.

"You really do get it.... The people around me always hated me because I'm the night and my little sis was the day. We could do the same things, just day and night separates us and that meant the world to them. They... The always believed I'd be the end of them all, " By this time the tears wouldn't stop, he understands... "And they were right, but only because my sister was the only one that was even partly there for me and she was taken away before my very eyes.... The night isn't as dark or evil as they believe... They just... Don't understand... "

(Authors POV)
He watched her in disbelief. They understood each other, knew how the other felt. He wasn't alone and neither was she. Maybe with the two of them together they could make people understand.

Nightmare walked over to the girl and wrapped her in his no longer gooey arms. In her dream scape he could be his true self. Maybe with her he could eventually completely become his true self and get his own brother to understand.

She agreed to go with him and the next day she was picked up, an early pick up, but she didn't mind. She wanted to leave the death filled place as soon as possible. A new adventure awaits her.
