Everyone headed towards a huge room that looked like it was for training or something, after all ever castle had to have one right?

"Alright, there are 8 courses here and whoever does the best job at getting past them is the winner, " Nightmare told the crowd. "We'll have to come up with a reward later, so let's all get ready."

(Y/N) watched everyone get ready unsure of what do to. Everyone else looked like they already knew what they needed to do but she didn't even know what the challenges were.

"I'll go first, " Horror exclaimed as he headed towards the first area. A bunch of machine like targets appeared around him and he got his bloodied up ax ready. One of the targets swung forward and he easily broke the target in half, right through the middle. By the end a bunch of targets lay on the ground in half.

Nightmare explained it to (Y/N). "You have to try doing as much damage to this target as possible. The next one will also have targets but it's aim is how quickly you can get to that target and touch it. Each of the training areas focus on different things. Strength, speed, agility, hearing, feeling, and a few combinations of each. For the hearing one you have to be blindfolded and for the one with feeling you can't see or hear just sense the movements around you. It's kind of fun actually and helps greatly with reflexes. If you don't make it in time then it puts you to sleep and you can't continue with it for a few hours. Vile added that part to it. "

(Y/N) smiled at him. "Thanks, now it makes a lot more sense. I think I understand it enough to do it now. Are you actually going to take part, or just watch? "

"Eh, I don't usually take part since I usually win, but I guess it won't hurt to join this time, just don't cry when you lose. "

"Somebody obviously doesn't know my skills, " (Y/N) told him chuckling.

Nightmare just shrugged in response. Maybe he didn't know her skills, but she didn't know his either. Or the rest of their group for that matter.

Vile and Error just watched them as each of the others went until it was Nighymare's turn. He beat everyone's records once more and then gave (Y/N) a smug look. She was a bit more than impressed, but she wouldn't let that get to her.

For the first one she decided to take some traits of a dragon and quickly obliterated each of the targets, surprising everyone from the start. Next up was speed and even though she couldn't teleport she decided to go with the quickest creature she could think of, passing that trial in a flash. For the one of agility she took on cat like qualities.

Nightmare watched her as she did this and smirked. Cat ears and a tail really suited her in his mind, though he wouldn't want to get scratched by her claws.

Hearing was easy enough since there were many night time creatures with terrific hearing and even the sensing one was easy enough for her. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with her and after she finished they all waited for Vile to tell them her score.

"Not bad, but Nightmare got about 3 more points than you (Y/N). I'm impressed that you did that well, " Vile informed them.

This caused Nightmare's smirk to grow, annoying (Y/N) a bit.

"Well well, what did I tell you? It seems you couldn't beat me after all, " Nightmare mocked her. She glared at him in return and then turned her with a hmph and went to go make some food for everyone. She reminded herself to not save a seat for him that time in response for his attitude forgetting for a moment that they never decided on a reward for the winner.
