(One Week Later)

Clementine and Javi had been walking for days, only stopping at abandoned stores to raid them for food and other supplies. They had talked about life before and after the apocalypse, the people they have encountered, and the people they have lost. Clementine was reluctant to talk about the last thing and decided to just let Javi talk while they walked, her only speaking when needed. Clementine's wound healed over enough for them to only stop ever couple miles for her to get a break and then she was good to go, or so she told Javi.

"Clem, are you sure you're fine to keep going? I mean we can rest for a little while longer."

The stubborn teen shook her head at Javi and pointed in the distance ahead of them.

"Look I'll rest when we're in that little suburb and we can rest there for the night, okay? And are you still leaving notes?"

Javi sighed and shook his head before finishing up spray painting the road sign. They had found a whole bag full in an alleyway and Clementine thought of the idea of leaving notes about where they were headed while they made their way into a small town where Javi swore that's where his nephew would be with AJ. The older male could tell the teen was still beyond stressed about her kid and he could understand because he felt the same about Gabe. Gabe had started to become like a son to him and every waking second he wished he could turn back time and take back the words he had said to Gabe. Javi promised to himself that he would make things right when he seen Gabe again and Javi prayed that he would see him again.

"Are you coming or not? The sun's going down and I'd like to make it to the houses before dark."

Javi jumped as he had not heard the teen approach him and glared at her before gathering his things and started walking again. The two made it to the suburb and Javi picked the safest looking house and walked up the porch. But, as they went to go inside, Clementine collapsed suddenly onto the wooden porch and began to fall unconscious. Javi fell to his knees to check on her and Clementine weakly pulled at her pant leg, making Javi grab his knife and cut the fabric away and gasped at the sight. Clementine had a deep cut running up the side of her calf and it had puss in the flesh that was exposed. Javi felt around and also concluded the wound had a fever and wanted to shake the girl silly for not telling him that it was this bad.

"God, I want to fucking kick your ass for keeping this from me. But, I'll do that after we get you inside and bandaged up. I gotta leave you hear for a second while I go check the house for any muertos and then I'll be back, okay?"

"Just go."

Javi fought back the urge to throttle the teen and instead went inside the check out the house, killing one muerto as he first entered the home and made his way upstairs. He found a room that had an X-Box in it, along with video games and a T.V. He also found some books like Percy Jackson, IT, Looking For Alaska, and Shiver, Javi made a mental note to get them after he finished up with Clementine and finished sweeping the rest of the house before going to collect her and placed her on the couch. Javi quickly cleaned and dressed her wound, Clementine had taken ibuprofen while Javi was inside and had fallen asleep the moment her back hit the couch.

Javi barricaded the door with objects in case anyone or anything would try to break in and finally really looked around for food and other stuff. He found a huge deal of chocolate pudding that he was saving until Clementine woke up and some water in the fridge. Javi was about to go back to Clementine when he walked past a door that hadn't been in yet, the garage door. Javi brandished his knife and opened the door and nearly laughing put loud when he seen what was in the garage.

"Clementine needs to see this beauty."

So, Javi woke Clementine up and asked if she wanted to see something amazing. A middle finger was his only answer and Javi just picked her up and walked back to the garage, setting the teen down in the beautiful beast. Clementine's eyes fluttered open when she felt herself being laid down on something cushiony and looked to see where she was. Her jaw fell slack when she seen that she was in a pontoon boat and closed her eyes tightly.

"Oh shit, I'm dead and Kenny is here to take me to the otherside in his damned boat."

"Who's Kenny?"

Clementine yelped at Javi's voice and looked to see him in the driver's seat. Clementine sighed gratefully that she wasn't dead yet and waved her hand at his question, still not wanting to talk about them yet. Javi rolled his eyes at her action and held up the can of chocolate pudding to the girl with a grin.

"You can have pudding if you tell me about this Kenny."

5 minutes later the two were eating the pudding by the spoonful while Clementine talked about Kenny and his boat. Javi slowly drifted to sleep as Clementine finished talking about the deceased bearded man and Clementine felt her eyelids grow heavier before she too was asleep.

Knock! Knock!

The two jolted awake at the sound and looked at each other as two more knocks sounded on the garage door, this time they were more urgent. Javi needed to make choice because the knocking could attract unwanted muertos and got up to open the door leading outside from the garage. He brought up his knife once more and swung the door open before dropping the knife and raced forward to hug the knocker, making Clementine think it was Gabe and AJ. She bolted from the boat and ran outside to greet AJ, but stopped short when she seen that it was Kate and David, Gabe and AJ were nowhere in sight.
