Ch. 3.1- Minlis ft. Onelice

A/n: I didnt revise, so please ignore any grammar errors that you may see.

Recap:
Blushing from embarrassment I look up at him and say, " I won't, I promise".
Looking at me doubtfully he says, "I hope you don't break your promise. Goodnight lis, sweet dreams".
Watching him walk away I close the door, locking it afterward and head towards my room. Once in bed, my mind wanders back to everything that happened earlier. Sighing I say to myself, "I just hope I don't end up regretting my decision".

Lisa's POV:
August 08,2018

Waking up to a knock on my door I look at my phone that was on the nightstand next to my bed, checking the time. Seeing that it was 7:45 am, I yawn while getting out of my bed and walk straight towards the door to see who it was. Opening the door I see a familiar face holding a coffee in one hand and a small paper bag in the other. After Letting him inside I turned to face him, " miss me so soon? I just saw you a couple hours ago".

Giving me a smirk he says, " actually I did miss you, but that's not why I'm here".
Raising an eyebrow I give him a questioning look, " oh, then what brings you here?"

Handing me the coffee and small paper bag he replies, " your manager had something come up last minute and asked me to pick you up and take you to a script reading for a drama called unexpected love".
Giving him a puzzled look I say, " but I thought today was my day off?".
He sits down on my sofa making himself comfortable, " It was, but your manager got a call saying that the female lead of the drama couldn't be a part of it anymore, so they want you to replace her."
Setting the coffee and bag on the table I start to jump up and down out of excitement," Really? They're giving me the part".
Nodding he gives me a warm smile, "mhmm, now hurry and go change. You don't want your coffee to get cold". Nodding I quickly go to my room to change.

After buckling up, I take a sip of my coffee. Opening the paper bag I see a blueberry muffin, looking at Mino I ask, " is it okay if I eat in your car?".
Pulling out of my apartment complex, with his eyes fixated on the road he says, " yeah, go for it".
Before I took a bite out of my muffin, I turn to him, " I forgot to say this sooner but thank you for the muffin, coffee and for giving me a ride".
He hums in response, " No problem, that's what friends are for".
The entire car ride consisted of me eating my muffin and drinking my coffee in silence.
Getting off the car I walk towards the familiar building, but before I can open the door I see a hand pull it open for me. Knowing who's hand that belonged to I say a quick thank you without looking at him. Stepping in the elevator, pressing the button for the 3rd floor, I turn to Mino," will you be picking me up when I'm done?". Shaking his head he answers me, "No, your manager should be available by the time you're done, so when you finish doing the reading just message your manager".
Right when I was going to reply the door opens, and I quickly get out not liking being in small places for more than I should be. Walking towards a familiar room, I notice that no one is there. Taking a seat, I grab the script that was given to me the day I auditioned for the drama and skim through it a bit.
" Alright lis, I'm g-", before Mino was able to finish his sentence a familiar voice cuts him off.
"Mino, how've you been?", He says excitedly while walking up to Mino.

Matching his excitement Mino pulls him into a hug, " I've been good, how about you?".
"I've been good, but I must say, I'm really glad I got to bump into you", he says while releasing Mino.
" Same here, we should hang out sometime soon Jaewon".
Smiling Jaewon replies, " I agree, maybe we can hang out with the other two dorks as well, I miss being with you three like old times".
Returning his smile, Mino comments, "I'm sure they'll be down to hang like old times".
" So, what brings you here?", he says with a confused expression.
" Oh, I came to drop Lisa off", he replies while glancing at me.
Following Mino's gaze his eyes land on me, " Oh, so you're the new female lead".
Being my shy self, I nod my head instead of using my words.
Walking up to where I was seated he sticks his hand out for me to shake, "I'm looking forward to working with you Lisa".
"Same here", I replied while shaking his hand.
"Lis, I'm going to get going", Mino says while walking up to me with his arms out. Letting go of Jaewon's hand I stand up and walk into his arms.
" good luck lis, I'll see you soon", he murmurs while embracing me. After I let him go he goes straight to Jaewon and they say their goodbyes. After Mino left I go back to what I was doing before, not really paying attention to Jaewon. It wasn't until I felt like someone was watching me that I decided to look up.
" you need something?", I asked him, slightly irritated with the way he was looking at me.
Facing me with one arm on the table supporting the other one that was under his chin, he shook his head while smirking at me.

" I was just curious about something".

"And that is?", I say with furrowed brows.

" Since when have you and Mino been buddies? From what I remember you've always avoided anyone who wasn't your group mates", he replies while eyeing me suspiciously.

" Since when did you care? From what I remember you've never really made an attempt to get to know me".
At this point I was annoyed with his presence and nosiness. Before he was able to say something back, people started to enter the room and take their seats.

"Alright, so Lisa before we get started with the script reading, do you mind explaining to the readers what the drama is going to be about?", the director voices.
"Um sure?!", I say a bit unsure of my answer.
"Okay so, this drama will be about a young heiress named yoonah who is the only heir to one the biggest corporations in Seoul and who is also engaged to another heir from another corporation named Do-yun. Even though, they are soon to be married neither of them are happy with their arranged marriage. Yet, neither of them have the guts to speak up. In yoonah's case, it's more out of fear of disappointing her parents and in Do-yun's case its because he wants the power that he'll receive when he marries yoonah".

Stopping I facing the director and try to pursue him, " I think its better if Jaewon continues this, that way he can introduce the character that he'll be playing in the drama ".
Rubbing his chin the director ponders a bit on what I just said, " Jaewon, it's your turn".
Turning to face me Jaewon mouths, "I'm going to get you back, just watch".

After clearing his throat he starts, "My boy, Ye-jun is a mafia boss, he took over for his dad when he turned 20. however, one day he saves Do-yun from trouble and later becomes his bodyguard. Even though he saved Do-yun his intentions weren't pure... You see, Ye-jun had a younger sister named Nana, she was in love with Do-yun and was in a relationship with him. However, Do-yun ended up breaking their relationship due to the fact that he was getting engaged to yoonah. Nana becomes lovesick and reckless, which results in her getting into a car crash. Even though nana didn't pass away, she is in a coma and her chances of waking up are slim. So to avenge his sister he plans to get close Do-yun and ruin him and yoonah because he blames them for his sister's current state".
"But he ends up falling for yoonah once he realizes that she's innocent. Do-yun also falls for her too, so who knows who yoonah will end up with", taehyung finishes up for Jaewon while shrugging.

Sighing the director says, " honestly even I don't know, the author has not informed me yet... Anyways let's get on to the script reading". (A/N: plot twist; Yoonah ends up with Nana lol jk)

After 3 hours of script reading, the director ends up getting an important call.
"I'm sorry but I'm going to have to call it a wrap for today, I have a last minute appointment to attend".

I sigh in relief after I heard the director say that. I was glad to have this day over with. when Mino first told me that I was going to be the lead in this drama I thought that everything was going to go smooth. But that was before I found out who the male leads were. I was getting ready to message my manager to pick me up but I stopped when I heard what the director said next.
"Lisa, I hope you, Jaewon, and Taehyung can use this to your advantage. You three should use this time to get to know one another and get comfortable with each other". Before I can even answer the director, someone else beats me to it.
" We will, thank you, director, and have a wonderful day". Taehyung says before bowing to him.
"Come on, let's get going", Taehyung says while grabbing my hand and leading me out of the room with Jaewon following us out.

A/n: So, Taehyung is a side character, his role won't affect the plot or anything like that. I just wanted to make that clear, so that there isn't any confusion later on and to just let it be known that there won't be any Taelice moments other than when they're working on the drama together.
Also, the introduction about the drama isn't really important nor will it be apart of the plot, but I will be describing some scenes and whatnot so I thought it'd be better to give a brief explanation on what it'll be about and all that good stuff. So this chapter was a bit long but I feel like it was needed since I've been M.I.A for a couple months. Anywho I'll get the next chapter up when I can, see y'all soon and take care 😊💞
