Chapter 4

~Alesa's POV ~

He didn't wake up for a week, which scared me and Trina. We stayed there, taking turns watching him in case he woke up. I learned he had an aunt and called her but she was in California on a business trip and couldn't leave.

But of all things, I didn't even know his name.

"Hey A? Are you alive?" Trina softly said. Cracking a smile, I replied "Yeah, I'm just worried about him. I don't even know him though..and school has only been going on for a couple weeks!"

"Well how about we go get you home so you can have a shower and a change of clothes. You have been here all week you know." she said laughing. "I don't stink.. I think anyways..plus I don't want to leave him here by himself... " I said looking at the sleeping teen.

Trina grabbed my hand and dragged me out the door before I could object again. "I texted Reese and told him to meet us at Walmart. So since I invited him you can invite who ever. Plus he will be fine. I promise that we won't be gone long. Only a few hours." Trina said, sending me a soft smile.

"Ok?" I replied confused. What just happened?

~ Tanner's POV ~

I heard voices, but they didn't sound familiar. Maybe I'm dead and these where the angels to take me to heaven.

"I don't know Macyn. He still hasn't woke up and I want to be here when he does."

Who was that? I could tell it was a girl but who?

I opened my eyes to a dark room. The t.v. was on the cooking channel and there was an occasional beep from beside me.

I groaned. "Where am I? Am I dead?"

"Uhh Macyn, I have to go bai." she said again. Turning my head I saw a girl with her brown hair pulled back into a pony tail. She had slight bags under her eyes but barely noticeable.

"Who are you? And why am I here?" I asked her. She smirked slightly and replied, "I'm Alesa. I kinda have been here while you were knocked out. I don't know what exactly happened but as Trina put it was that Keith punched or beat you to death almost. Trina punched Keith square in the face though."

"I have been knocked out? For how long?" I asked.

"About a week."

The nurses and doctors came in then, pushing Alesa out of my hospital room. Immediately the lights were turned on making me flinch.

They made sure I was ok and stable before letting Alesa come back in. She had changed to a Green Day shirt and camouflage pants, her hair still in a pony tail.

"So you feeling better after an hour of doctors hovering over you?"

"Uhh yeah I guess? It's not fun at all to say at least." I said confused. She rolled her eyes and laughed softly which made me more confused. "It's called sarcasm. Anyways do you feel better then you did at school?"

I lifted an eyebrow then awnsered her question. "Like I said before yeah I am fine.."

We just sat there awkwardly. Not a single word between us.

Suddenly, the door burst open revealing a short blonde girl with a frown on her face. "ALESA MALARIE DARK?! HOW DARE YOU HANG UP ON MOI?!" The blonde yelled. Alesa got up from her spot and walked over to the blonde calmly. What she did next surprised me.

The blonde was ranting then suddenly she was slapped on the forehead making her go silent. "Now Macyn, I need you to listen to me ok?" Alesa asked. In return the blonde nodded. "We are in a hospital, which means people come here to get better and AVOID yelling teenagers like us ok? Now sit like a..... umm good girl?"

Blondie nodded and sit in the chair next to Alesa's following her orders. It took all I had not to ask what the hell just happened and just watch the two girls.

Alesa looked at me then at blondie. There is that awkward silence again. Well except for the cooking channel in the background.

"Ok so who is this boy Alesa? Is he your boyfriend?" Blondie asked making Alesa blush a deep red.

"NO! I mean no? Umm Macyn this is uhh....what is your name?" Alesa asked embarrassed.

"Tanner." I mumbled.

She nodded then spoke to Macyn " Tanner. Tanner meet Macyn. Don't worry about her sanity, which she don't have. Just make sure she does nothing to stupid."

"Hey! I heard that!" Macyn yelled.

"Of course you did! You were post to shortie!" Alesa snapped, making Macyn laugh.

"So tell me, why would Keith hurt you?"
