It was Monday, which meant school, and it also meant that I can kick Keith's sorry butt. Locking the front door, I made my way to school thinking of all the ways I can kick Keith's butt. I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't know that my phone had gone off until it started having a spaz attack in my jeans pocket.

"The heck?!"

"BLONDE ALERT! BLONDE ALERT! DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE! REPEAT DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE!!" My phone screamed at me. I'm definitely going to kill Macyn when I get to school. I kept rejecting the call till the ringtone started playing again.

"Yes?!" I mumbled.

"I'M NOT GOING TO BE AT SCHOOL TODAY SO I'LL TALK TO YOU LATER!!! BYE ALESA!"  was all Macyn yelled before hanging up, leaving me in my ball of confusion again. "Why do people always leave my in a confused state? Why?" I thought aloud.

I finally made it to school and into my first hour, which was Art. Fun. Full 45 minutes of fun of a class Macyn told me to take for her. Just pure fun.

Turns out Keith was suspended on Monday last week for what he did to Tanner, whom I haven't seen yet either.

"Ms. Dark? Can I talk you for a moment?"

I turned around, startled. Mr. Lego was behind me, motioning for me to follow him into his office. Nodding, I followed the principle into his office and sat down in the uncomfortable chairs he kept in there. Mr. Lego was an old man with graying hair. No matter what he would always be seen wearing a suit. Even to the grocery store! Crazy right? Once again, the man startled me. I looked up at him as he continued the talk I barely even noticed.

"Ms. Dark, I heard that you made friends with the kid that was sent to the hospital last Monday. Am I correct?" He questioned.

"Yes sir. I have made friends with Tanner." I replied. Mr. Lego than sat down in his comfy chair and tapped something into the computer, pulling up some files. "Mr. Lloyd has barely acceptable grades, but you Ms. Dark, have excellent  grades. But you don't do any scholarships or any college credits outside of school. Why is that?" He questioned again.

"I don't have anything against all those things, its just I like having time to do things and if I do to many things at once, I will probably have a meltdown." I told him. Mr. Lego nodded.

The air was stuffy and all that could be heard was the secretary out front.  It was a no brainier why kids hated it in here, it could make you extremely uncomfortable. It felt like an hour till Mr. Lego spoke again. "Ms. Dark, I would like to make a deal with you, or more of an offer. I know this sounds bad but Tanner has been slipping by on his assignments for awhile now and we were just to busy to deal with it. How would you like to help him? Only be in his classes to help him with his work and your work will be sent to you at the end of the day. If you wish we could pay you, but most kids will do it out of generosity. If you help him with his work, he may be able to graduate with his class next year. What do you say?"

Me? Help Tanner? I guess I already did help him out at the hospital....and he didn't have any other friends to help him. But the main question was how poorly was he at his school work? I can understand why the school never helped him, and it was because the school really had nothing better to do than pay ninety-nine percent of the time to the football and cheerleaders. "I-I guess I'll help him. But what about test? Do we study for those as well?" I asked.

The principle nodded and stood up. "Paula! Can you print out Mr. Lloyd's schedule? I would really appreciate if you did!" He called down the hallway. A faint 'okay' was heard before clicking and a printer started up. The thin white paper slid out of the printer by his desk before the printer stopped. Mr. Lego picked the paper up before sitting down at his desk again and pulling out a blue inked pen. "I'll send and email out to his teachers and yours out about what will be going on for the rest of the year. You have privlidges as well. One of them is being able to go to the library and study what he has to learn. You also get a free hour to your self when he has P.E. You will be excused from P.E. to get this free time. You both will still have the same standard lunch time. If I catch either of you out of your classes without a pass or if you are skipping, all privledges will be lost and the schedules will go back to normal. Understood? I expect a lot from you Ms. Dark. So please, do not disappoint me."

I nodded and he handed me the schedule, telling me that I was aloud to go home since 8th hour was already almost over. About to walk out the door, I stopped and turned back around. "Um, Sir? May I ask a question?" I asked. Mr. Lego nodded to tell me to continue. "Well, I was wondering if you had Tanner's address,  so that I could go and visit him and tell him about what is going to be going on at school the rest of the year?" I asked again.

He nodded again, then turned to his computer to type something up. Then he scribbled it down on a piece of paper before handing it to me. "Is that all?" He questioned. I nodded for the millionth time then made my way out the door and to my own home, thinking about the discussion between me and Mr. Lego.
