Liam's POV
Trisha was perfectly fine with Zayn going with me. Which made me angry. The one time I need her to be over protective of her son and she does the exact opposite.
"Liam? My mom wants to talk to you." He mumbled.
Eyeing his phone, I slowly stuck my hand out. Taking the phone I held it to my ear.
"Hey momma Trisha." I spoke cheerily.
A giggle came out as a reply.
"Hello my dearest Liam. So how do you feel about this trip?" She asked.
My heart paused for a bit. Honestly I didn't want to go. I was scared they would hurt Zayn.
Soon her voice came through again.
"Liam I know you will protect my baby and he will have to face the real world some day. I do know that, but you seem very protective of him. So in a way I trust you." She spoke sweetly.
My mouth didn't move and I didn't try to form any words.
She is right.
I am very protective when it comes to Zayn.
Finally my eyes met Zayn's. He smiled shyly causing something to finally show in me.
I won't let anyone hurt Zayn.
That is why Trisha is okay with this.
This is why she is okay with us.
Because there is no if, and, or but about it. I will protect him.
"I love you Trisha, but we need to go." I say quickly as my eyes hit the clock.
Chuckling I handed the phone to Zayn.
"Hello? Yes mum I love you too." He said quietly.
Clicking the end button we sat outside my apartment.
"So are we taking my bike or the bus?" I asked knowing well he knew what I wanted to take.
Zayns eyes looked from my bike to me.
"The bus." He said.
My mouth dropped and I pointed a hand out at the bike.
"Come on, the bike is faster!" I groaned.
Shaking his head he took my hand as we began walking down the street to the bus station with our bags on my back. I would of taken the SUV, but it had been in the shop for some repairs, aka me trying to show off for zayn and hitting a stop sign on accident.
"Zayn!" I groaned again.
"No Liam! I don't need you get angry at your parents house and start driving off on that thing all crazy."
My lips made a thin line. Sighing I knew he was right.
I took my place next to him on the bench. We are a bit quite when his hand reached mine. Looking towards him he's blushing hard. I couldn't help, but smile knowing the effect I had on him. Soon a man with a women walked by.
Looking at us in disgust, Zayn's hand went to pull away but I held it tighter. They walked away mumbling and shaking their heads.
Zayn's eyes met mine.
"Don't ever think that I'm embarrassed to be seen with you? Do you understand? There is nothing wrong with us being together. We are just like any other average couple." I said sternly.
Smiling he shook his head. Soon another couple walked by. I was excepting them to say something rude as they approached us, but I was actually taken by surprise. As they sat next to us I scooted closer to Zayn. The old lady peaked around the man as huge smile formed on her face.
