Chapter 5 | The Dilemma

You wake up in a pain, and no recollection of what happened the previous night. Sitting up in a daze, you scan the room for any indications of what happened to cause this outcome. Next to you lay an unexploded grenade. Is this... Junkrat's?  Cautiously you pick it up, in case of any explosion that could occur, and trace your finger tips over the raw edges, searching for your answer. The lighting was minimal, but it was just possible to see his Total Mayhem mark plastered on the side. This confirmed your theory. It's his. But where is he?

Something didn't add up. Were you drugged? You could've sworn that Jamie wasn't lying about loving you, surely? But what didn't make sense, is why would he up and leave without taking ALL of his weaponry?

A dark smile grew across his face. The first part of his mission was complete and you were his for the taking. The only thing he has to do now is play the sympathetic best friend and get you on side. The love you had for Jamie was strong, so this could prove to be harder than Hanzo first thought.

It was about 10 AM, you had managed to make your way into the main hall. Soldier: 76 and Mercy had some announcements that needed to be made. They explained how the threat of being thrown into this unknown place of limbo was becoming less dangerous as Athena was able to gather more Intel on what it was. This included on how it treats things that end up in there, as well as what is in there, or who. Jack later on explained that it is similar to a medic bay, or spawn, except you cannot get out of it without some serious difficulty. This brought them to the conclusion that a week or so ago, they converted the entire campus into an arena type state. This meant that they could safely experiment different conditions on how this limbo works, and that everyone had a somewhat easier way of living for a while.
You heart begun to sink. The unthinkable words left Angela's mouth, and you just wanted to cry. "Last night Junkrat somehow ended up being put in Limbo. We are unsure how this happened, and we don't know how long it'll take to get him back. We apologise to his close friends for their loss"
You couldn't believe it. At least you know where his is, to some extent anyways.

The meeting disassembled and you went to your room, walking with Roadhog as his disappearance affected the two of you the most. 
"I, I don't understand how he can be gone..." You stammer. "Did he come across something he couldn't take on? was he attacked? I just... I just.."
Mako grabs you gently by the arm and embraces you. The heat of his torso warms your body and soothes your mind. 
You pull yourself together and resume your journey to you room. Mako stays with you for a short while longer, ensuring that you are going to be okay before leaving.

You weren't required for training or anything for the rest of the day, not that you'd be up for it anyways, so you decided to take this time to have a shower and a nap. During your nap, you dreamed of awful things. Things that could explain how Jamie got there in the first place, and they were extremely dark thoughts. 

A knock came at your door, and it wasn't a moment too soon, you wanted that nightmare to be over, You wanted this whole nightmare of a reality to be over. Groggy, you pull yourself out of bed and open the door, It's Hanzo, bright a bubbly as always. You let him enter and he closes the door behind him. Such a gentleman.
"Thank you" he greets [you know his thank you voice line... ugh.. so dreamy.... ;)]
You go back to sit on your bed, and he follows. It's been a while since you two had spoken properly. Far too long. You spend a few minutes catching up with one another, before he asks "Where did you get off to earlier? After the meeting, you just disappeared. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just sad and worried for Junkrat. We're closer than you think."
Too close... He thought.
"He'll be okay. I promise. Athena and Winston are gonna get this whole thing sorted, so don't worry about it [y/n]" he said in the most reassuring tone, pulling you into a side hug and kissing the top of your head.

You and Hanzo were also close. Sometimes you joked on being the third Shimada brother... Even though you're a girl. Shimada sister didn't have the same ring to it.

You look up at him, with that look in your eye, similar to that of a newborn baby looking at it's mother for the first time. He leaned down and kissed your lips softly, you were still tired so didn't react very quickly, and so let it happen. But then you realised. No, this isn't right, and he isn't Junkrat. You pushed him off lightly, but hard enough to show you didn't like what he did.
"Hanzo.. I love you, but not like that.." you blurted out
"I'm sorry [y/n], I thought that's what you wanted."
"No, not with you. With him.."
"Junkrat?" he sounded hurt. But he was acting. "What's he got that I haven't?"
"My virginity" you said quietly, hoping he wouldn't hear. [I couldn't resist, I'm sooooo not sorry :p]
"I heard that"
"We're together. And I miss him, okay?"
"Why didn't you tell me [y/n]?!" He started getting annoyed that only now you told him when he knew for weeks.
"Why does it matter Hanzo? You already know he kissed me ages ago, and you're the one that told me to go out with him in the first place!" you're also getting annoyed at this point.
"We had an agreement that you'd tell me what happened! And now you're telling me you fucked? He's not right for you. I actually thought I might stand some chance of being with you y'know. And now he's gonna kill me because you'll probably tell him I kissed you."

You paused for a moment. So many conflicting thought running through your mind at once. What should you say? What should you do? You were hurting, but you're loyal. You wanted him to stop talking. 
"I won't tell him." you say
"I need proof that you're not gonna tell him"
"How exactly do I prove something like this? If he doesn't kill you, I didn't tell him. If he does kill you, it doesn't matter you're dead. But even if I did tell, I wouldn't let him anywhere near you...." You gaze at him. Only now you realise how much you'd be losing if Junkrat found out. It wasn't worth it.
Hanzo started blabbing about all this other stuff that could happen, which you ignored. "I don't want to argue with you," he states. "So I'm gonna leave before we fall out." he gets up and begins walking to your door.
"Stay" Why did I say that... 
He looks at you and bluntly states "no."
You didn't want to be alone. You walked over to him quickly and grabbed his arm. He looked at you in confusion, and you pulled him close. Your next move you'll regret for a long time, but if it meant having company you'd do it. You kissed him on his lips softly then repeated yourself. "Stay."
This time he reluctantly agrees and is taken aback by your action. Truth is, he didn't want to be alone either.
