(Sorry about the late update! I got 5sos tickets the other day woo :D)
Luke's POV
"You will always be my favourite cook, mum" I basically suck up my mums arse as we eat at the table, a thing I've been doing since a young age, she might give me some money or let me stay out late.
I glance at Michael beside me, he smiles down at his food and I chuckle softly, moving my eyes from him as I reach under the table, taking his hand he isn't using for eating.
"So, do you two have any plans for this evening?" My mum asks and my eyebrows shot up, causing me to flush red.
My mum comes to conclusion as to what she just said and shakes her head as Michael just laughs, "Um, No, Liz, But I'd like to stroll with Luke, he's good company"
I smile, Glancing over at Michael. I feel like this is the right moment to just take in his features, his jaw is tensed and he looks slightly nervous to be sat here at a table with my mum, maybe not too nervous but definitely awkward. "Okay, We better go then" I clear my throat, standing to my feet and pulling my t-shirt down further as Michael also rises."It was nice meeting you Michael," my mum says, causing my stomach to flutter a little. She seems to like him.
Once we finally get away from my mother, me and Michael head outside into the thick air. I feel like coming to Dallas has suddenly been a really good decision. Despite all the chaos I'm really happy to have met Michael. He's a lonely guy and I'm glad I can help him become a little less punk and more sweet and caring. Two things I have noticed a lot recently. He wants the best for me.
"Michael?" I ask, Realising we both haven't said a word since we've let our feet walk us from my house. "Luke," he breathes, stopping in his tracks and turning to me.
Michael's POV
I stare at the taller boy, knee's going weak causing me to gasp for air. I would never understand why he has this effect on me.
"Should we go do something fun? Like, Swimming in a lake or climbing a mountain" He smirks, obviously not being serious.
"Uh.." I begin and he laughs, "I was kidding..."
"Good," I breathed out, beginning to walk again by Luke's side, he nudges my elbow and I nudge his back as he walk down the sidewalk, Smiles across our faces. I loved him so much.
"What do you thinks going to happen Mikey? Nathan n all" He sounds a little sad so I slowly interwine our fingers, squeezing his hand to re-asure him everything will be ok.
"He'll leave, trust me. I'll make him leave if I have to" I sigh, Looking down at my feet, although I wasn't sure what was going to happen. I was more worried about getting all that money for Greg as soon as possible, I want to have a good summer without worrying about trying to get money, But I was sure this summer was going to be the hardest of all.
If only my parents hadn't left, they would have gave me the money and everyone would be happy.
"And Greg?" His voice cracks and I glance over to him, "he'll get his money.." I mumble.
Luke chuckles beside me, obviously not believing me.
"Whatever you say.." He mutters.
"We have school tomorrow" he continues and my heart aches a little, school sucks. Well, obviously, who actually likes school?
Luke surprisingly leads me back to my apartment, not that I'm fussing or anything I'm just surprised he remembered where I lived.
I pushed my hand into my trouser pocket, searching for my key, after I came across it I pushed opened the door and walked inside with Luke right behind me, slamming the door shut and looking around in horror.
The place had been absolutely trashed.
Lamps lay smashed on the floor, a chair from the dining room is now lying at the bottom of the stairs with a pile of photos and belongings crumbled underneath, and that's only at the entrance of my house, my heart began to pound fast and I knew Luke's was too.
..
(Another filler chapter. Sorry for the lack of updates but remembering to write during the summer is difficult!! Anyway, who do you think trashed Michael's house ???)
