4. Inigo

"You're getting married? To her?!" The pink haired dancer was in shock, having just heard the news.

You laughed nervously, turning a slight pink color.

"Yes, Mother. 'To her'!"

"No, no, no, I'm don't mean it like that!" she exclaimed, bowing in apology. "I meant 'to her' as in, 'Oh my, is he worthy enough for her?!'"

"Gee, thanks," he said, averting his eyes in embarrassment.

Olivia had grabbed your hands, staring intently at your eyes. "Oh, please, [Name]! Just think this through- are you sure you're okay with him? I mean, you can change your mind right now if you so please! Seriously, I wouldn't blame you!"

"Mother!"

"Hush, Inigo! -Anyway, I'm so happy for the two of you, really! But seriously, why him?!"

"Mo-"

"Just a joke, my dear! -If you'd like, [Name], you can start calling me 'Mother' as well! ...Wait, would that be weird?" She frowned, contemplating many thoughts. You couldn't help but smile, nod, and laugh nervously. Olivia was such a sweetheart, so it was quite amusing seeing her worked up like this. You glanced over to see that Inigo had given up on trying to get her to stop, as he sulked in a corner, embarrassed and all.

"And [Name]," she continued, very intent on making sure you're not making a mistake, "If he flirts with any other women, be sure to tell me! I'll teach him a lesson he'll never forget!"

"Oh, I'm hoping that won't be a problem," you said, chuckling.

"Me either," she said with a pure, sincere smile. She began speaking in a low voice, careful not to let Inigo hear. "But really, why him? Not to make fun of him- I'm just curious and want to know what you see in him."

"Uhh, well, he certainly has his flaws," you said jokingly. "But he's actually an entirely sweet and caring person. It's adorable when he tries to hide it. Not to mention, he's certainly as attractive as his mother."

"Oh, stop it!" she said, face turning a shade of red.

"What are you two talking about?" Inigo said, worried that Olivia was trying to embarrass him further.

"Oh, nothing, dear! By the gods, [Name], that's the cutest thing ever!" She said, wrapping you into a tight embrace. "Would that make me your mother-in-law, and you my daughter-in-law? Ohhh this is so very confusing. Oh well, matters not, I suppose. As long as my two most favorite people in the world are happy."
