Excelsior

Part 4 - Captain Elyi

My breath caught in my throat and I stopped breathing as his skin connected with mine. My heart raced and I felt a little light headed. "C-captain..." I stuttered.

"Yes?" He asked, lips inches from my neck.

"I-... Have to pilot the ship..." I stuttered some. His hand reached over me and flicked the auto pilot switch to it's on position.

"Now you don't." He said softly, running a hand along my jaw. I shivered, unable to pull away. I didn't know what was going on.

"I- I can't." I said, standing. He hooked his arm around my waist and spun my close. The only thing seperating us were my hands on his chest. He leaned down to my level and moved his lips towards mine. I paused, my eyes closing a moment before snapping open. I spun from his grip and bolted for the door. I ran through the corridors, climbed a few ladders and ended up topside.

I put my hands on my head and attempted to breathe. He tried to kiss me. Captain Elyi.. Tried to... kiss me... I sighed and paced. The air was thin up here, but I needed the cool air on my face. My hands dragged down my face. Do I go back? I have to, don't I? I kicked one of the ratlines and cursed quietly. I didn't know what would happen. Did I feel something for him? It was only the second day on the ship... I shook my head and walked back into one of the corridors.

"Lost... are we?" I heard from behind me. I turned and froze. It was Lotterdome.

"Geeze you scared me, Lotterdome!" I chuckled nervously, pressing close to the wall.

"As I should..." He said, his voice icy.

"W-what?" I smiled. looking around for an exit, but found none. I had trapped myself on the floor that contained the living quarters. I cursed under my breath. "I've gotta go." I said in a louder voice, hoping someone would hear me.

"Not so fast, love. No one is on this floor. You're shit out of luck." He took a step forward. I took a step back. My eyes scanned my surroundings, there had to be something... There! I botled past him, but he foresaw my move. He grabbed my arm and swung me into a nearby wall. My face connected with one of the gaskets on a pipe and I screamed; "You got your payback in the engine room!"

"That wasn't good enough." He growled. "You embarrassed me in front of my Captain. I've worked under him for six years!" His voice rose. "You think because you're a girl you can get away with shit?! Well you're fucking wrong!" He kicked me hard in the ribs. I screamed again, this caused him to grab me and throw me into a room, probably his. I kicked out and caught him in the thigh, but it didn't phase him. He threw me to the ground. "I'll show you what payback is..."
