Can you believe it's already the weekend? I mean we did move in on Wednesday.... I yawned looking over at the time, it was 6 o-clock and still pretty dark outside. "Hmmm..." I was always a fan of creepypasta, and whats not to love about the dark woods in the middle of a never ending winter? Nothing! I crept through my house trying not to wake my family, shuffling through the kitchen and slipping my boots on and my scarf. Grabbing my glasses and fetching a flashlight, I made my way to the back door.
The moon provided a lot of light, so my flashlight sat snugly in my coat pocket. Making my way into the woods I heard shuffling in the snow covered bushes. I yelped at the sudden noise and tripped falling back and catching myself on a tree. "Holy shit, you scared me!" I said to the wolf I had met yesterday.
He made a sound close to laughing. "Shut up." I said and threw a snowball, it missed of course. I noticed something shiny on the wolf's lip, it was a lip ring. "Hmm.. What is that?" I mumbled to myself, of course I knew what it was, but I was questioning it's existence on this beautiful creatures muzzle.
The wolf just tilted his head and noticed what I was staring at. He turned around and started to trot away. "Hey, wait!" I ran after him, he started running after that. "No fair! You have four legs!" I shouted to him, I started laughing, I was chasing a wolf.... Not what you would see everyday. I laughed to myself as a mental picture of me as a bunny chasing a wolf. As I snicked I tripped over a root and face planted into, you guessed it, the snow.
I cam up coughing snow out of my mouth. I felt a cold nose on my cheek, looking up I saw the wolf staring at me. "Don't worry, it takes a lot more to kill me." I laughed, the wolf's hot breath hit my face. "Uugh! Do you ever brush your teeth? Well of course not, your a wolf..." I laughed to myself and patted his head. The sun had started to dawn on the horizon. "Oh crap!" I yelled and started running back to my house. The wolf trotting next to me.
When I made it back I saw the kitchen light on. "Crap!" I said under my breath, 'She is always up at the crack of dawn....' I thought to myself. Climbing the tree next to my window I slowly creaked open my window when I lost my grip on the branch and I fell onto something with a loud crack and a yelp.
"Oh shit!" I yelled panicked, I fell onto the beautiful creature's now mangled leg. "I am so sorry!!" I whispered to him, a tear slipped down my cheek. "The first wolf I meet and I murder your chances of survival...." I mumbled to myself, a howl sounded through the forest and the white wolf got to his feet. "Your leaving? But your leg...." I trailed off as I saw the wolf awkwardly run into the direction of the howl.
"God I am so stupid... Poor Snow..." I don't know when I started calling the wolf snow, but it stuck for the rest of the weekend...
>School Rolls Round' Monday<
"Poor Snow..." I repeated for the hundredth time while munching on my cereal. "What was that hun?" My mom said as she finished her meal. "Nothin..." I mumbled underneath my breath and stalked to the door, putting on the usual winter garb. I didn't wear my wolf hat.
I did a slow, sad, march to school, hugging myself from the cold breeze. 'God, I am such a fat ass, I wish I was the one with a broken leg and not the poor wolf...' I poured this self hate on myself as I entered school, making my way to my first class and hanging my bag on my chair. Loyd walked in with a crutch, when he made it to his desk I could see why, his leg was in a cast, he rested his crutch on his desk. "What happened?" I asked.
"Hmm? Oh, this? I just fell down the stairs." "Oh..." I turned to my bag and got out my sketch book, laying it down and continuing my drawing of Snow, my miserable attempt at a friend. "Whats that?" Loyd asked looking over. "Snow... Oh wait. I named him Snow... I don't even know if it is a him." I said while sliding the book over to him. He chuckled. "Snow?" He smiled. "Yah, his fur is white." I said blushing slightly, from embarrassment, "That's cute." He mumbled under his breath. He was probably referring to the name.
I went through the day all dark and brooding, when Loyd finally noticed, in math our last class, he threw a crumpled up piece of paper at me, him being across the room and all. I glared at him, he gave me a confused look. 'Later' I mouthed to him. Loyd was probably my only friend at this school. I noticed some of the larger athletes would glare at me every timed I passed them in the hallway.
After math Loyd confronted me, "Why the sad faces?" He said as I almost made my way out of the math room. "You wouldn't understand." I stated and tried to get past him, he blocked the door with his crutch. "Enlighten me." I sighed and sat on a desk. "Ok, you know that wolf I was drawing." I asked him. He nodded his head. "Well, I kinda broke his leg, and I murdered all his chance of survival." I sniffled. "I'm sure he will be fine, he has a pack after all." He tried to comfort me.
"Yah but his chances of survival are very low now! What if his leg heals back wrong?" All that self hate came back to me again. "I deserve to be brutally murdered." I mumbled. He lifted my chin up while resting on his crutch. "Don't be that way, I'm sure he is fine. who knows he probably is already all healed up." He smiled at me. I sighed and walked out.
Walking home, and down the road that was surrounded by forest, a white wolf stepped out of the forest, and slightly limped over. "Snow! Your alright!" I exclaimed kneeling down and petting him. He nuzzled my cheek and I laughed. "Hey, your whiskers tickle!" I laughed while pushing his furry muzzle away.
The rest of the way home I talked to him and he limped beside me. I showed him the half finished picture of him, he licked my hands with his warm tongue,
After making it home I was just a big ball of hyper, optimistic, energy. Running around until night fell and I passed out in my bed out of exhaustion.
