I have a question

It might seem strange?  

Nick asked while looking at the stars. He had been standing out there for hours trying not to go insane as he was trying to think of what she meant by wanting him. Hours of him seeing the same cars leaving one by one and the same puppet show from outside dave with  questioning about what her words might have meant or how the state she was in it was just not in the right mind set.   He was in denial he did not know what to think of. His thoughts were bouncing off his head, he couldn't think of one of them by themselves. What did she mean? Was it because she was on drugs? How would I know maybe the hit was a massive hit that made her go crazy? he continued going on and on. "I have a question, it might seem strange". he said to himself he was going to ask her if she was true that she did like him or was it just the pills talking. As soon as he was able to say it out loud to himself with out having is shirt looking like he had just ran a massive marathon. He did not realize Jess came out with a tea cup  for him. When he said it for the millionth time Jess over heard what he said.  "Yes?" Jess asked Nick while handing him a cup of hot honey green tea. Nick was stun back of Jess being there. Heart beating fast worried of what he had prepared, he knew he wasn't ready at all with what he was going to say. He was not ready at all but with his fast thinking he mumbled out....

How are your lungs? 

Are they in pain?

Jess was so confused and took a sip of tea from her mug. Nicks heart beating faster then if he were to drink a whole pot of coffee. Nick was so scared of what she was going to say he was trying not to go insane himself but yet keep a cool composer. He couldn't call of anyone because all of them where out having fun. Saving what had just came out of his mouth he tripped up on his words. 

Cause mine are aching

Nick took a sip of his tea before he said anything else stupid. He knew he blew it with her. "Are you high Miller?" she asked concerned about his mental state. She was worried he took some illegal drugs or finally after all the years of alcohol abuse it finally caught up to him. Seeing Nick upset hurt her heart. She put her cup down and put her hand on his shoulder, Jess knew he was broken up about something but she did not know why. Nick continued on with the quiet he was facing as he was sipping; downing his tea. His heart was saying go tell her but his mind is saying all the stuff that can go wrong. His body on the other hand could not take the abuse of what he was doing so after finnishing his tea. He was thinking what will happen if she says no? He knew he was so upset when Caroline broke his heart imagine Jess doing that. He can not take the heart break. What happens if they did date, how will be the loft? Will they be okay with it or will they..... He would not take this anymore.  "Screw it!" he screamed heading back into the loft.

 As to fall in love with me?

Nick screamed in the loft heading to his room. He had really had enough of hiding of how he felt. He loved Jess so much why lose another girl because he never was a man; grew some balls and never said his feelings. Scared by looking up to see Jess's reaction he kept his head down. He regretted what he had said to her. A thousand matches took his heart down to ash that had a light; a flame for her but it soon faded. He was too far deep in his feelings he knew he had to let out all of what he felt for Jessica Day.
