As I walked through the door it saw David. He was drunk as usual. I knew then it was time for me to move on and get out of this house. I ran up to my 'room' and grabbed my one suitcase and packed the few things I owned. I made sure not to forget my phone, and my only friend.. My razor.
"Where are you going?" Little Daley asked me as I was about to sneak out.
"I'm sorry Ada I have to go now. Be good!" I told her and gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Ok, I luh you Awiana. She said in her cute little two year old voice.
"I love you too Ada, I'll come back for you." I said and with that I ran and ran and ran as far as I could from that 'home'.
I ended up at a train station. I dug in my purse and found the money I had saved up from the diner I worked at incase something liked this came up. I plan on doing something with my life. I've always wanted to be a singer. I just love singing. I have a YouTube channel. It's quite funny because I wear a mask so, no one knows it's me. I go by "Freak" it caught on quickly. I got on a train that was going to Miami.
The man took my ticket and told me to get aboard the train. I did as told. Still, in my same clothes from school. I realized I have no place to live. Just then, I thought to myself. 'Wait, my mom's old best friend Becky lives in Miami. Maybe she would let me stay with her for awhile.'
It was finally summer, oh yea did I forget to mention that today was the last day of school? Oh, well. (A/N I actually did forget to day that 😂) Truth is I don't care where I live in Miami I am just so DONE with North Carolina.
