Balance | Sora x Reader |

[Part I] June 20

(A/N) Hi! I was thinking that to pass the time while we wait for Kingdom Hearts 3 to come out that I would write a fan fiction!
This takes place in modern day earth.

     =Prologue=
     Your POV

     "5 AM already !?" I say as I look at the clock on my phone "Ugh I'm never going to get any sleep. And what's worse is I have school tomorrow." I save my game turn it off. On my way to my bedroom I look at the picture me and my family took 3 years ago.
Painful memories start flooding my head as I pass out.
     ~flashback~
     "Say cheese!" My dad says,
     "Cheese!" the camera clicked and my mother went over to look at the result. "it turned out beautifully, this one's a keeper." ... It was June 5 2015, the first day of our vacation to Hawaii.
     The sun was setting, it was beautiful, but everything must come to an end.
There were Gunshots, lots of them. Everyone started running to their cars, everyone thought they were safe and that nothing bad could happen. I ran to my parents car but I was the only one there,  I looked back and saw little black monsters and a person who looked like a stereotypical Villain. She had a long black coat, pale skin and a staff but I couldn't see anything else before someone came up to me.
     "Hey kid where are your parents? " the person asked
     "I-I don't know they were here a second ago." I replied on the verge of tears,
     "You can come with me until we find them okay." he offered his hand and I took it not looking back. We ran to his car where there was a woman and a kid I got in the back seat and we drove off just barely missing an attack from one of the monsters.
     These people were my new family.
~flashback ends~

I woke up to a loud thud. I got up to see what it was but nothing in the house had moved so I checked the front lawn. I noticed it was really dark out so I assumed I hadn't been passed out long. I could sort of make out a figure lying on the ground. I go to check who it is but I still can't tell, so I decided to bring them inside. So many parts of me are saying to leave him there but my morals say otherwise. I bring him inside only to realize that he's just another cosplayer. I guess I'll make some coffee I'm not sleeping tonight... I should wake him up.
     I go over to him to wake him up and it looks like he's having a nightmare. I shake him a bit and walks up with a start "Riku!" he yells
     "Dude shush my neighbors will hear you!" I whisper shout to him "Anyway who are you and why were you on my lawn."
     "I'm Sora, And I don't know why I was on your lawn. The last thing I remember is the gummi ship falling and I fell out... Then I woke up here." he answered my questions but now I'm more confused because the cosplayer is talking in character instead of out. He must have hit his head hard...
     "Okay... Why were you cosplaying in the middle of the night? There aren't any cons going on right now." I ask, hopefully I can get a straight answer.
     "Cosplaying?" 'sora' replied but it seemed more like a question than an answer.
     "You do know what Cosplaying is right?" I reply, this guy is a total nut job, or he hit his head really hard.
     "Look out!" he yelled. I watch as a gold and silver Keyblade materializes with a flash of light and he jumps behind me killing whatever threat there was.
     I sit in awe staring at what just happened "You're the real deal..." I say as Sora, the real Sora stares back at me.

Well do you like it? It's my second try at a fanfiction and first for Kingdom hearts... I hope this turns out good.
