Alexis' POV
I walked into school like I normally do, I head straight to my locker and open it.

I place my backpack inside and I close it quickly.

I walk to the bathroom and guess who I run into, Alyssa.

"Oh, you again. Came for round 2?" she said harshly, trying to intimidate me.

"Sure, go for it." I say as confidently as I could.

She gave me a cofused face, not expecting me to respond that way.

"You're looking like a toy that came from the garbage." I smirked.

"You've already called me that, have anything else to say out of your smelly little mouth." she looked at me with her eyes darted into mine.

"Ha." I smirk and walk out of the bathroom.

Later in class

"Mr. Guppie, may I go use the bathroom."

"Quickly, Ms. Walsh."

I quietly get out of my seat and I start speed walking to the bathroom. I walk inside to see a girl applying a new coat of lipstick, I am glad that Alyssa isn't in here.

I quickly use the bathroom and head back to class. I get back to my seat and I see that there was a student standing next to Mr. Guppie, it was the girl I saw in the bathroom.

"Excuse me class, we have a new student, her name is Taylor, please be kind to her." He finished talking and he pointed for her to sit at the desk next to me because there was no one sitting there.

She settles down in her seat and I just simply say to her "love your lipstick." a little smile spreads across her face and she says "thank you." I introduce myself and she smiles.

I hear the lunch bell ring through my ears and everyone leaves class, I start to head to the lunch room.

After I get my lunch, I go and sit next to Grayson and Broady, I look across the cafeteria and I see Taylor roaming around. I stand up and wave my hand to make sure see she's me. She starts to walk over and she takes a seat next to me.

"Guys this is Tay-" "Taylor!"  Broady yells, interrupting me.

"You guys know each other?" I ask.

"Oh sorry guys, this is my cousin." Broady says. "Well, nice to meet you." Grayson says as he couldn't take his eyes of of her.

Ooooooo, I think Grayson likes her, I'll ask him later.

"Nice to meet you to, what's your name." she asked Grayson very nicely.

"Grayson." he says with a smile.

School is over now

I walked out of the building and I wave goodbye to Broady and Taylor, she seems very nice. I head to Grayson's car, he was already inside. I get in the car and I confront him.

"I know you like Taylor, I saw the way you looked at her."

He began to blush and said "No I don't."

"Gray, you are literally the worst liar in the world and I have bestie power, don't even deny it."

We talk a little more in the car and we arrive at my house, there's another car parked in front of my house.

I wave back to Grayson and he takes off, I start to step up on my front stairs. I grab my keys and unlock my front door, I look up and see someone, "Broady? What are you doing here?" He turned around facing me and there was another person behind him, Sam.

"Um, hey Lex, umm, I'll just go now." He walks past me and gives me a forced smile. Right before he leaves he whispers to me "I promise, I'll explain later." his words left me speechless, I didn't know what to say.

I walk up to Sam "Why was he here?" He looked at me and just replied with "I can't tell you, sorry." I got frustrated that he won't tell me so I stormed of into my room. I take out my phone and text Grayson:

Grayson🦄

Hey Gray, can I come over?

Why?

I need to tell u something

Is everything ok Lex?

Yeah yeah, it's fine. Can I just come over

I began to walk over to Grayson's house and I heard something toss around in the bushes I was standing next to, I turn back around and keep on walking forward. I start to speed walk because I though someone was looking at me, I turn around for a quick look and I see someone in a clown mask, holding a bat. My eyes widen and I start sprinting for my life, on my opinion I was going very fast, I used to be a runner.

I run as fast as I can and I make it to Grayson's house, I start banging on the door as hard as I can. Ethan came to the door and said "Wassup Alexis, you here for Grayson?" I shove him out of the way, enter their house, and I lock the door behind me. My breathing is heavy and I drag my back against the door until I'm on the floor, I burst out crying.

"Alexis what's wrong, what happened?" Ethan quickly came to my side and started rubbing my arm. I heard Grayson come down the stairs and say "Hey E is Lex her-" his eyes immediately land on me and he slides onto the ground.

"Oh my god Lex, what happened?" he asked worried. He sharply looked over the Ethan and said "What did you do?" he seemed shocked that Grayson just asked him that and said "I didn't do anything!"

Grayson pulled me up in a hug and carried me up the stairs bridal style, I held my hands on his neck and I cried into his chest.

We entered his room and he played me down on his bed, I got up a little and I curled up I to a ball. " Lex what happened, please tell me." I sat there and glared at him, I tried to tell him but no words came out of my mouth.

I finally became calm enough to talk and I said as I sucked up my tears "I-I ran into a person wi-with a clown mask and a bat, they s-stared to chase me." his face fell as he knew I was deathly afraid of clowns.

He sat on his bed next to me and he gave me a big hug, I cried into his shoulder and held tight onto his torso. I finally got up and walked down to his kitchen, Ethan was leaning against the island counter and glared at me as I opened the fridge to get a bottle of water.

"Are you ok Alexis, what happened?" I let the words soak into my mind and I don't know what popped out of my mouth.

"Why do you care, you don't even like me. You've been bullying me since middle school." I don't know why it slipped out.

His face was left blank as he stared into my eyes, then he left to his room. Why did I say that?
