the night had finally come for the fundraiser carnival a.k.a julia's worst nightmare. she didn't want to go to a crowded school function alone, but she had to go. she couldn't let lee near mia at the kissing booth. sure, she was still angry at him, but that didn't mean that he was allowed to kiss mia. so, julia got dressed and called her favorite partner in her art class. his name was wilder greene; he loved that 70's show, grilled cheese, and boys. no one but julia knows about the boys part though.
wilder arrived in his silver cadillac coupe and honked his horn a few times to signal julia that he was there. the blonde put finishing touches on her makeup, then ran out the door and into her friend's car.
"hello, wilder," she playfully greeted him as she shut the car door.
he smiled at her and began to back out of the driveway, "why so cheery, carter? don't tell me it's lee again."
julia scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest, "as if! you know i'm angry at him," she rolled her eyes and plugged her phone into the aux cord.
"listen, all i'm saying is that you're so not over him and that you two will probably get married and have baby flynns," wilder shrugged with a mischievous grin.
julia cut herself off from daydreaming about it and looked to wilder, "i am over it, i'm over him," she shook her head and played dancing queen by abba.
wilder looked back at her, "then why're you going tonight, jules?"
julia sighed and looked straight ahead, not answering him. how could she?
the two had made it to the carnival and went straight for the cotton candy. by the time they had gotten theirs, julia already had her phone out ready to take a selfie.
"hey, wilder," she sang as she held up the phone.
he rolled his eyes, unamused, "just this once," he sighed and reluctantly acted like he was going to take a bite of the candy with a huge grin on his face.
"that smile was so fake," julia laughed and posted the picture on her instagram.
"whatever, i looked hot," wilder snorted and pulled julia over to the dunking booth.
after dunking the captain of the swim team multiple times, the two made their way to the kissing booth.
"alrighty! as promised, the next kisser is flynn!" elle exclaimed, getting all the girls excited until they saw lee sitting where noah should've been.
as if the booing weren't bad enough, mia made it even worse, "the only reason i talked to that dork was to make sure his brother would come to the booth tonight."
julia frowned and looked up at wilder with pleading eyes and he nodded his head, "go get him, jules a.k.a future mrs. flynn."
she rolled her eyes and walked up to the booth with some cash right after elle went behind the curtains, "i'll kiss lee flynn."
julia walked up to her blindfolded friend and slowly pressed her lips against his. he quickly pulled the blindfold off and looked at julia and smiled, "hey, princess."
"hey, wonder boy," she whispered, then pulled him in for another one.
"well, now that julia is leaving me tonight, i can go makeout with damien pearce," wilder smirked at the two.
"i thought damien was straight," julia raised an eyebrow at him.
"not after tonight," he winked and walked toward the ferris wheel where damien, the quarterback on the football team was waiting in line.
lee looked at julia in confusion, "wilder greene is gay?"
