Saturday Afternoon

September 5th 2020

"We broke up because I fell in love with someone else. I told you this when it happened. Why do you want to hear it again?" I raised my left brow. She smiled. "You just couldn't wait to break up with me so you could get with Kendall...could you?" she stood up and walked over to the kitchen. I remained where I was and stared at the floor. "Could you? Or did you just not have any feelings for me in the first place" I felt her glare at me. "No...no. I had feelings for you, and to be completely honest I still kind of do. But I' m happy with my relationship with Ken and she's really happy too...I'm not gonna ruin that for her" I smiled to myself. I heard Aspen sigh. "Okay...you can go now..." She said and I stood up and headed for the door. I put my hand on the door knob and I felt Aspen softly grab my arm. "You...still have feelings for me?" she looked up at me and our eyes met for a quick moment before I looked away. "Yeah" I whispered and quickly slipped out the door and to my car.

Are you going to tell me where you actually were or are you going to continue to lie
Now you're making me feel bad
Good. Get me a coffee on your way back
Fine. I'll see you soon

Kendall's POV

I heard the front door open about ten minutes later and then Jack entered my room. "Hey" He smiled and sat down next to me. "Hi" I gave him a kiss and took the coffee he bought me. "Thank you" I smiled and sipped the drink. I faintly heard him laugh and he wrapped his arm around me. "So...are you gonna tell me where you were?" I looked up at him and he suddenly didn't look very happy. "I was at...Aspens place" He looked down. "So Jonah was right!?" I raised my brows. "What the hell Jonah" I heard him whisper under his breath. "w..why were you there..." I gently pushed his arm off of my shoulder. He looked at me. "She wanted to discuss why we broke up" He scratched the back of his head. I remember Jack mentioning a girlfriend when we used to video chat when I was in highschool. "Well... Why did  you guys break up?" I said and turned to him. "Because...I fell for someone else" He looked at me. "You left her for someone else? Who!?" I put my coffee down on the side table. He stared at me for a minute and then looked down at his feet. "M-me...?" I sat back on the head board of my bed. He nodded. "Jack. You shouldn't have left her for me...I would've been fine with just being friends if you still loved her..." I scooted closer to him and cupped his cheek with my hand. "The thing is...my feelings for her faded after a while and then I realized that I had feelings for you...so I told her the truth and waited a little while to see if you like me too...and when you kissed me a few months ago...you gave me the confidence to ask you out and here we are now. We've been together for two months and we're both happy...or at least i am" he looked at me. "I'm happy with our relationship too...but...i have one more question before I can let this go...and I wont be upset if you say yes..." I could tell that I was making him nervous. I took my hand off his cheek and rested it on my thigh. "Do you still have feelings for aspen...?" I looked at him straight in the eyes. I wanted the truth. He was hesitant for a minute. "Y...yeah...if im being completely honest...yes I do..." He looked down and so did I. "But my feelings are much stronger for you" He put his hand on mine and our fingers intertwined. "I love you" I said and rested my head on his shoulder. "I love you too" he lifted my chin and pecked my lips.

That's a pretty cool star isn't it?
