Another Potter

September 20.

~Sirius' POV~

"Padfoot! Wake up!" I hear Moony shout but I don't move, he and Prongs have been trying to wake me up for a while now. "Fine! Then we need to do it the hard way," Prongs says and although I don't see it, I can feel the evil smirk on his face. But what could he mean with the hard way? Before I get the chance to guess, I feel cold water on my face. I jump up in a second. I see Moony and Wormtail beside the door, while Prongs stood laughing beside my bed with an empty bucket. "I hate you" I mumble to Prongs, I didn't really mean I hated him. And he gets it because he answers "love you too mate" still laughing. "Padfoot, we are going to breakfast now. You better get ready and meet us there," Moony says while Prongs walk over to him and Wormtail. And then they leave. "What a great group of friends I have?" I think to myself.

When I enter the great hall girls from every house started to smile, smirking, playing with their hair hoping I would notice them and go flirt with them. But I ignored them and sleepily walked over to the Gryffindor table. I ended up sitting opposite to Prongs, to my left sat the gorgeous Victoria (and to her left sat Evans). How did I get such a good seat? 

"Why are you so late for breakfast?" Victoria's beautiful voice asked me. "Well, I was getting ready when-" I started. "SOMEONE," I said looking at Prongs for a short while before looking back at Victoria and continuing "decided it would be fun dropping a bucket full of ice-cold water on my head to make sure I was awake". "Sorry mate, but it was the only way to bring you back from dreamland," Prongs said laughing. "Sure," I said rolling my eyes, now Victoria was laughing too. 

"Aww, I thought you would be on my side," I said jokingly to Victoria. "Of course she is on my side, she's always on my side!" James said who had stopped laughing. "Wrong! First of all, I'm on none of your sides. I'm just laughing at your situation," she said to both of us, "Second, I'm not always taking your side, James. Actually, there is 99.9999999999999999999999999999-" I had to cut her off, "we get your point". "-999% chance I'm taking Lily's side rather than yours," she said more directly to Prongs. Now James was confused and Evans started laughing. "Aww, thank you, sweetie!" Evans said hugging Victoria sideway. "It's my pleasure, sweetheart" Victoria hugged her back. That made Prongs even more confused "how are you two so close? You have known each other for three weeks, not your entire lives". Victoria shrugged. "And who do you love more? Me or Evans?" he asked seriously. "Lily. Obviously," his twin answered in a duh-tone. Prongs rolled his eyes, "I give up! Se you guys in class, we have potions first" he said standing up and started walking out of the great hall. "What a great show I had to my breakfast" I smiled. "Well, I better go and make sure he doesn't cry," I said while standing up and earning a chuckle from Victoria. But she also put her hand up in the air for me to give her a high-five, I didn't even hesitate and gave her a high-five. I got a strange, unique feeling when my hand touched hers. Merlin, what's wrong with me? Am I sick?  But I ignored it and walked after Prongs.

"So, can someone explain to me what kind of potion this is?" Professor Slughorn asked. "Mr Black?" Slughorn asked a student who didn't know the answer at all. "I don't know" he answered honestly. "Ms Potter?" Slughorn asked the girl sitting in front of the boy. "Amortentia. It is the most powerful love potion in existence. It's considered to be a powerful and highly dangerous potion. Although Amortentia doesn't create actual love; it's impossible to manufacture or imitate love. The person under the effect of the potion will only hold an obsession for the person who administered it. Amortentia has a different aroma for everyone who smells it, reminding each person of the things that they find most attractive, even if the person doesn't acknowledge or is unaware of their fondness for the object of their affection themselves. Also, Amortentia's difficulty level is; Advanced," she answered like it was nothing and leaves almost the whole class shocked of her knowledge. "Excellent, 15 points for Gryffindor! Now, could you please smell it and tell us what you smell?" Slughorn asked her. Victoria held back her long hair while leaning forward to smell the potion. "Quidditch equipment, caramel and... I'm not sure about the last smell....." she said the last part really surprised, shocked and confused. "Thank you, Ms Potter," the Professor said pleased, she has fast become one of his favourites. "Now students, I know class is almost over but take a look at the bord to see who is going to be your partner for the rest of the school year," Professor Slughorn said walking to the front of the classroom.
