Porsha in MM

Kyriee De'Shun Simmons

"KY!" I hear Zariah yell. My eyes peak open because I'm such a light sleeper. Porsha stirs in her sleep but only snuggles closer to me.

"What Ria? Why you yellin'?" I look over at my clock seeing that it's seven–fifteen in the fucking morning.

"Come on we're gonna be late!" she yells again.

"Man I'm not goin' now get the fuck on wit' all that yellin' cause you don't do the shit any other time."

"What's going on?" Porsha mumbles with her eyes still closed.

"Nothin' baby go back to sleep."

She nods turning over on her stomach going back to sleep. I get up still seeing Zariah standing at my door. I snatch her by her arm dragging her out of my room silently closing the door. I walk her downstairs and throw her on the couch.

"What the fuck is your problem?!" Zariah yells frantically throwing her arms around.

I stare at her and she calms down with her eyes darting everywhere. "You done?"

"Done with what?"

"Puttin' on a show. Because I swear to fuckin' God you got me fucked up Zariah. What the fuck is wrong with you dude? You always start some shit when Porsha is over here. What did she do to you? Porsha ain't been nothin' but nice to you yet you treat her like shit. That shit is affectin' not only Porsha and I's relationship but you and I's friendship. Get yo' shit together, man. Now come on so you can get the fuck out."

Zariah and I driving to school together is a ritual. I guess Renaye is still laid up with ol' girl at the hotel that she met at the mall. I grab my keys to my cocaine white Mercedes Benz not really caring which car I pick.

"Wassup? Why y'all so quiet?" Tyrin asks hopping in the car. Tyrin gets picked up first, then Julez since he lives a little bit farther away and Tyrin just lives a couple blocks away.

"Nothin', man." I dismiss turning the music up a little louder. A little J. Cole is playing.

I make a right, turning on Julez's block. As I pull up he's sitting on his front porch texting away on his phone.

"Aye bitch!" Tyrin yells out the back window.

Julez head snaps up mugging but it is soon replaced with a smile once he realizes it's Tyrin. He comes down the stairs jogging to the car, stopping and looking for traffic before he hops in the back seat on the drivers side—behind me.

"I can feel some tension in here." states Julez.

Damn, everyone can notice it.

"Man nah. I'm cool." I answer growing agitated by the minute.

"It's her time of the month." Zariah says.

I stomp my foot on the break pulling into the school causing all of us to jerk forward. "Get out, bitch." I grit with venom dripping from my every word.
