A SPECIAL GIRL

Safe haven

I woke up still tired. I was laying in some kind of wooden bed. I looked around. I was in a little house, with this bed, a chair and a door. The door was open, and outside I could glimpse a beautiful blue ocean. When I looked to my left, I could see a blonde-hair-boy, sitting and sleeping next to me on a chair, and then I remembered what happened. Newt. He was still holding my hand. I smiled to myself. Sounds came from Newt, and then he finally woke up. When he saw I was awake he smiled too. "Where am I?" I asked. Newt looked at me and said "this is safe haven". I sat up, wanting to go outside. I stood up, put when I tried to walk, I fell again. Luckily Newt caught me. He had his arms around my waist, holding me up. I looked up into his beautiful, deep, brown eyes. I couldn't help but to stare at them. At him. "Thank you" I then said, and snapped out of it. He smiled to me and said "come on, let's go meet the others". He took my arm around his shoulder, and his arm around my waist, and then we walked outside.
It was beautiful. A true heaven. It was some kind of beach we were on, with the blue ocean right before our feet. A lot of people were here, talking to others. I got a bit nervous. The brown-haired boy from earlier approached us. Thomas. "I don't think we really got to introduce ourself" Thomas said and continued "I'm Thomas, and you are?". "I'm y/n" I said with a stronger voice than previous. Newt was still holding around and Thomas commented sassy "well looks like someone is getting along just fine huh?" and winked. I blushed a bit, not knowing what to say. "Shut up you bloody shank" Newt then said in a laughter to Thomas. I felt a bit sad I must admit, I guess Newt didn't really want it to be us.
We walked further on, the three of us, until we came came to a group of people. Thomas introduced me to all of them. Their names were Minho, Gally, Aris, Brenda, Jorge and Frypan. The all seemed really nice and funny. I sat down on a bench and talked to the girl Brenda. She was really nice, and it was good to have another girl to talk with. She told me a lot of stories about her and the others, and I listened very observant, to try and get a better picture of who these people were. Thomas were like their 'leader' together with Newt. They were apparently the ones who got them out of their maze, and the others trusted them a lot. While Brenda and I talked, I looked over at Newt a couple times. I really couldn't help it. I also saw him looking at me a few times, but it was properly just because he could feel someone starring at him. Embarrassing.
The evening began to come, when Newt came over to me and said "wanna go for a walk at the sea?". I could see Brenda smiling and so I smiled. "Sure" I just said. He helped me up, and took his arm around my waist again. His touch on my skin send an electric feeling throughout my whole body and made the butterflies in my stomach go crazy. We walked down to the sea, and I could see the moon reflecting on the ocean surface. It was so beautiful. We stood there, at line to the water, and just looked at the ocean. It was silent. A lot of people had already gone to bed, so all I could hear was the water moving back and forward in waves. "It's so beautiful" I then said, still looking out. Newt didn't say anything, but from the corner of my eye, I could see him looking at me. We stood there a few minutes more, until I then said "well I should properly head to bed". I began to turn around, and could feel my leg doing better. It didn't hurt that much anymore, but Newt put his arm around me anyway. When we got to the little house I apparently lived in, I stepped inside, turned around, and saw Newt standing I the door-opening. "I live right next to you, so just call if you need me, and I'll be right there" he said smiling in an assuring way. It made me feel safe and like I've finally escaped from WCKD. He turned around and closed the door. I got into bed, closed my eyes and fell asleep.

"WCKD is good y/n" a woman said while I was strapped down into a bed. She stuck a syringe into me and started to take my blood. "You're death will safe us y/n" the woman continued. "No, let me go!" I yelled.

"No let me go! Stop it! No!" I yelled still in my sleep, until someone came and tried to wake me up from the bad dream I was having. I woke up immediately and sat up in the bed. I was shaking and crying. It was Newt who had woken me up. I took my hands in front of my face and couldn't stop crying. Apparently WCKD haunted me, even in my sleep. Newt put his arms around me and hugged me. "Shh everything is going to be alright love. I'm here now" he said, trying to calm me down. I stopped crying and removed my hands from my face. I looked up into his eyes and they calmed me. He laid me down again and then said "y/n, do you want me to stay?". I looked up at him, moved over so there was room for two in the bed and then nodded quietly. He laid down into the bed, laying on his back with his one arm around my waist. I laid with with my arm and head on his chest. Then he kissed me on the forehead. Newts body and arms surrounding me, warmed and calmed me. I finally grew tired and closed my eyes to fall asleep again.
