Chapter 3

"Both Alpha and team captain, that's an accomplishment, Rizzo," Jack laughed.

"Yeah I know, OC," Rizzo chuckled. We were all at the O'Callahan's house for a bonfire, as it was the first warm weekend we'd had that year.

Mack and Rizzo sat together since they were pretty much attached at the hip, Jack had Gracie in his lap, Ali was laid out across Buzzy and Pav, Bah had his mate Jessica in his lap, Bill was holding hands with Marissa, and I was in David's lap as usual.

"So Alex, when's the wedding?" Bah joked.

"WHAT?!" I shrieked. Everyone laughed at me.

"I'm too young to get married! No offense, babe," I was in total shock that Bah even asked me that.

"Calm down, baby girl, he just joking," Dave ran a hand through my hair.

"Why ask when Dave and I are getting married, focus on Mack and Rizzo! That wedding would have happened already if they had it their way!" I smiled.

"She's not wrong," Jack laughed. Mack was blushing and babbling, but Rizzo shut him up with a kiss. We cheered and Gracie 'aww'ed.

Ali went into the house and brought out stuff for s'mores and some metal roasting sticks. Therefore, we all feasted on s'mores for a while.

"Hey baby, you wanna go for a walk?" David asked me.

"Yeah sure, why not?" I replied getting up.

He took my hand and led me around the house, we walked down the driveway in silence before he turned up the road, heading East.

We were walking a few minutes before he walked up to the batting cage behind the fire station.

"What are you doin' babe?" I smiled.

"I just want to talk without the others bothering or listening to us," David smiled back. He laid down on the grass with his arms crossed behind his head. "Aren't you gonna join me?"

I laughed and laid down next to him, resting my head on his shoulder and staring up at the stars.

"Hey Alex?" I turned and faced my mate. "Baby girl, I know we haven't been together for a super long time, but I just want to tell you that I'm so happy you're my mate. I really would not want anyone else in my life like you are. I know it was seem too soon, but I'm completely and utterly in love with you. You mess me up in so many ways, baby doll." I swears to the gods he's never looked so vulnerable since this day.

"I love you too, David," I smiled. He smiled back and started to lean in.

'Holy shit he's gonna kiss me! This is my first kiss!" I thought, more like screamed in my head though.

I leaned in too and as soon as our lips touched, fucking sparks went off. He kissed me for a few more minutes before pulling away, out of breath. I don't think I've ever smiled harder and wider in my whole life.

He picked me up and sat me on his lap his arms around me in a hug. I rested my head on his strong chest, listening to his heartbeat. We sat like that for what seems like forever.

David Michael Silk is my true love. I don't care who knows it.
