"Hey I was thinking, the prom is coming up, and I was wondering if you wanted with me? Ali and Grace are going too," David asked, hope in his eyes. I could tell he was nervous.

"I'd go without them being there. You invited me, not Ali or Grace," I smiled.

"So you'll go?" He asked hopefully.

"Yes I'll go silly," I laughed before I pecked his lips and got up to get a cheese stick from the fridge.

"Hey that wasn't a kiss!" David smirked and grabbed my waist, pulling me into a proper kiss.

"Why can't I wear my yellow dress?" I whined. Grace picked Ali and I up to shopping for the prom.

"Because you wear that for everything," Ali shrugged, texting someone on her phone.

"Why do we have to go three towns over for clothes?" I complained.

"Because its a fancy store. Gods, you ask so many questions. It's obvious you're the baby of the pack," Grace shot, pulling into a parking lot.

All three of us got out of Grace's car and walked into the store, passing gorgeous dresses in the window. I had no idea where to start, but Grace and Ali pulled me some direction grabbing clothes for both me and themselves.

When we finally went to the fitting rooms, we had 30-40 dresses in total. Gracie decided on a Forrest green, floor-length dress that complimented her brown eyes are caramel hair. Ali chose a navy blue dress that was short in the front and long in the back. I complimented her long blond hair and made her blue eyes pop.

After a long debate, I went with a black, knee-length dress with neon splatters all over it and had gems at the top. The girls put me in black leather flats, obviously trying to make me feel short around David. Everyone always calls me short, even though I'm not the shortest in the pack. Monica, Jimmy's mate, was 4'9.

"More pictures mom? Really?" I whined, making David chuckle.

"Yes really! This is your first ever date!" My mother exclaimed, causing me to blush.

"Awww," David cooed.

"Shut it you!" I pointed to my boyfriend.

"You saved yourself for your mate, how cute and innocent!" He tried to peck my cheek, but I pushed him away with my hand, mom still snapping pictures.

"No kisses. You lost that privilege when you teased me," I taunted.

"Aww I'm sorry baby," David smiled.

"Fine, you win," I pouted.

"I always get my way," He finally pecked my cheek like he wanted to, and my mom snapped one last picture.

"Mom!" I squeaked.

"I had too, You two are so cute together!"

After a ride in David's truck, that included singing and dancing like idiots, we walked into my favorite small diner in the area.

David held the door open for me, "After you m'lady."

"Thank you kind sir," I laughed.

We sat down and ordered.

"So..." David spoke softly, making sure I knew he was being serious, "I want to talk about getting married. Not anytime soon, obviously, but still."

"Once I'm 18. Even right after I turn it. I love you and I want to get married as soon as it's an option," I smiled, a blush creeping up my cheeks.

"That's sooner than I expected you to say," David's expression said 'wow'.

"Yeah I bet. I really do love you. It just makes sense to not wait," I was a total tomato at this point.

I love you too, baby doll," David smiled.

The street of our dinner consisted of telling stories of when we were kids, and eating.

David and I walked into the high school hand in hand. I was so much shorter than him that I could have looked like a little kid. Thank you so much for the flats Grace. I mentally rolled my eyes.

Music was already playing in the gym, and I could hear the muffled sound of many people talking.

"Are you okay, princess?" David knew I had social anxiety around new people and people I didn't see much.

"I think so," I forced a smile.

"We'll go find the rest of the gang," David assured me. He always makes me feel safe.

Soon enough, we walked up to a table where Jack, Grace, Mack, Rizzo, Ali, Pav, Buzzy, Jimmy, and Monica sat, all dressed up.

"Hey baby- woah. You look amazing Lex!" My brother's eyes went wide.

"We did good!" Grace smirked, high-fiving Ali.

I blushed, "Thanks guys."

At that moment the pack song came on. All of us, including others in the pack that were not sitting with us, went to the dance floor.

Overall I had a great time, and later, David told me he wouldn't've had his senior prom night any other way than with me. I guess I blush too much. It's kinda cool though, dating someone five years older than you. Kinda risqué.
