MingKit - Seven Days

Chapter 1 - Monday

Kit Intochar, 3rd year Communications student is currently sitting down in his classroom about to die of boredom. Their professor called in sick leaving them with two hours free time. He leaned on his chair while looking outside the window. Some girls passed by and waved at him. He waved back with a smile and saw them giggling.

'These girls they just like me for my face.' He thought. Liking someone basically starts by looking at the physical feature. If you're a guy, you start by looking at the girl's face then the body - her chest and legs. But sometimes people tend to stop with physical feature and do not care on what's inside. 'They don't really like me for me.'

Kit yawned out loud stretching his arms. He's about to stretch some more when someone hit his head. He looked up to find Beam his longtime friend and class mate looking at him disappointedly.

"Ouch! That hurts." He shouted at Beam while holding his head.

"Stop yawning out loud! These unrefined actions totally contradict your pretty face." Beam stated. He pulled out a chair and sit beside Kit. "You should start watching your actions or your girlfriend will realize you're not what she thought you to be and leave you."

"Thanks for your concern. But it already happened." Kit said gaining another hit on his head. "Hey, stop hitting me!" He shouted again now glaring at Beam.

"See what happened! It's because you never listen to advice." Beam matter-of-factly pointed out. "When did this happen?" He pushed his chair closer to Kit.

"Yesterday." Kit answered. "Hey, I do not need to be comforted. I'm perfectly fine." Kit stated pushing Beam away from him who is about to hug him. "She confessed first to me. It's not my fault she assumed so many things about me."

"It's not her fault either." Beam stated. He saw Kit's eyes got bigger on what he said then he got another glare from Kit. "Well not entirely." Kit is now looking at Beam with confused face. "To these girls you give off a princely aura. You're good looking and you're a former Moon of our faculty. Because of that you seem to be a very approachable guy. You greet them and smile at them so you look like someone so easy to talk with or spend some time with." Beam explained. "However, your looks is so much different from your personality. It's like a scam!" Beam laughed at this earning another glare from Kit.

"I would be lucky to find someone like Beam. If you're single would you date me?" Kit said teasingly to get back at Beam.

'No." A deep voice answered making them both look at the new comer. It's Forth, Beam's boyfriend. He approached Beam and placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, I was just joking. No need to act so possessive." Kit said laughing at Forth actions. "Anyway, I'm hungry should we go out to eat?" He asked the two.

"It's too hot outside. Can we do delivery?" Beam asked. Both Kit and Forth nodded. Forth grab another chair and seat beside Beam. They started to browse the internet for food delivery. They were busy debating which fast food chain to choose when they hear a group of girls giggling.

"They've been talking about Ming since free time started." Forth said. "Looks like he hasn't shown up yet.

"Ming? Mingkwan Daichepanya? The second year?" Kit asked.

"Yes. You're friends with him right, Ai'Kit?" Beam asked.

"Not really." Kit answered. "We're just acquaintance. He's assigned to editing team since his editing skills are superb ." Kit knew Ming from their faculty student organization. The organization is in charge of any media related materials - pictures, videos, social media posting, etc. needed by the faculty for events.

"He didn't attend his morning class" They heard Prae said. "Maybe he's sick."

They have already decided on which food to order and Kit is busy placing order on his phone. "I don't know if they are worried that Ming is sick or they are worried because they might lose the chance in dating him?" Beam said.
