MingKit - Seven Days

Chapter 5 - Friday

Kit is looking out of the window watching students passed by. Their professor has not arrived so the whole class is still in chaos. He let out a long sigh as he let his mind wanders.

It already Friday. 'Two more days.' He can't help but feel sad knowing he only got two more days to be with Ming. 'Is this how those girls he dated felt?' He sighed again.

"Kit! Is there something wrong?" Forth asked. He didn't notice that Forth had seated beside him.

"I'm okay. Where's Beam?" Kit asked. They are always together so it's quite unusual seeing only one of them.

"Went to the restroom." Forth replied. "And he might drop by the cafeteria to buy something to drink. I think this will be another free time." Forth said while looking at his watch.

Kit was surprised Forth is being talkative today.

"Oh. I have something that might cheer you up since you look so down." Kit watched Forth took out something from his wallet. "My brother's family visited last weekend and made me their driver so I got these tickets as payment. I got four so you can have the other two." He said as he handed the tickets to Kit. Kit eyes grew big when he saw to what show the tickets are.

"Are you sure you're giving me this, Forth?" Kit is so happy. This show is already sold out. The tickets are to a music festival where his favorite band - Paradox is playing.

Forth nodded. "You can invite anyone you want and we can all go there together." Forth smiled at him.

"Thank you so much." Kit smiled. He will invite Ming.

"Do you have a new girlfriend?" Forth suddenly asked.

Kit was surprised to Forth's question so he was not able to answer. And Forth took his silence as a yes.

"I knew it. Because you look like you already know who to invite." Forth said looking meaningfully at Kit.

Kit just smiled at Forth. He excused himself saying he needs to go the restroom as well. He's afraid Forth might asked questions he will not know how to answer so he escaped.

Kit was walking in the corridor going to restroom when a familiar voice called him.

"P'Kit!" He turned around to find Ming with his backpack.

"Are you going home already?" Kit asked.

"No, P. We are just changing room." Ming replied. Then he looked at Kit teasingly. "Are you skipping class?"

Kit glared at Ming. "Of course not. We do not have a professor." Then Kit remember the tickets. "Ming would you like to come with me to watch music festival? It would be next weekend."

Ming didn't answer and was just looking at Kit. Then right there Kit realized it is not a good idea to invite Ming. 'Shit! I forgot it is next weekend. We're no longer seeing each other.' Kit can't help but feel sad again.

Ming looked at Kit's face. Kit suddenly looked sad making Ming want to hug him but his classmate called him to follow. "We'll talk about this later okay?" Ming said then run to follow his classmates.

Kit was left standing on the middle of the corridor holding the tickets.

"That doesn't look like a normal senior - nong interaction." Kit was surprise to see Beam. "Are you trying to be the enemy of the entire girls population of our university?" Beam teased.

Kit laughed to hide the sadness he felt. "I know I'm beautiful but not to that extent, Ai'Beam." Kit jokingly retort.

He looked at Beam to find him looking at him meaningfully.
