Jun Hua climbed down from the carriage and strolled inside her house in ease. It has been some time since she comes back here so she wanted to enjoy her time. Behind her, Xia tried her best to maintain the same speed with her miss.
"Jun Hua, come here for a second."
"Yes Grandpa?" Jun Hua walked towards her grandfather who's sitting on a chair in the hall. His face is dark and serious.
"The emperor wanted to test all the new general of young generation. Given that 'Jun Min' is famous, you will need to meet him."
Hearing that news, Jun Hua face darkened. Jun Min is the name of her adoptive brother who in fact didn't exist. It's a figure she created with her family help in order to allow their family rise again. Since a girl cannot join war in normal case, she has to make a different identity and after some discussion they come up with that idea.
Although her plan is to make an excellent brother, she would have never thought that she would be this famous. The name Jun Min already erected deeply and countless people are hoping to meet the boy. Jun Hua herself is only a rookie general and still requires her uncle help on some occasion, but for her soldier, just her presence alone is enough to make their blood boil and want to charge towards the enemies.
Her physical strength is indeed higher than most people, but compared to those seasoned fighter, she's not that good. What she has is only her wits and her small age that boost the soldier morality on the war.
"Just what does that person wanted?" Jun Hua raged. She doesn't want to meet that person as Jun Min ever, but she knows that it's impossible. With her achievement, many people will be suspicious if she never appeared and their Jun family will be in for big trouble.
"Souka said he wanted to test the younger generation general, but I think it's not that simple," Jun Zhenxian brows furrowed. "No matter what happened, you have to be careful, understand?"
Jun Hua nodded, "Right, when will the call be?"
Jun Zhenxian was going to say that he doesn't know when a eunuch come saying he got emperor order to pass a message. Jun Zhenxian takes the scroll and his face grows even darker. The emperor requested that they all come to the palace tomorrow.
After the eunuch goes, Jun Hua raised her head, "There shouldn't be anyone who knows that I have returned, right?"
Her words are correct. Because Jun Hua needs to attend as a girl, she has to return from the battlefield without anyone knowing that Jun Min is gone. She returns stealthily, but there are still people caught wind of it. There's only one possibility, there're spies watching her.
Jun Zhenxian hurriedly goes outside. He wants to hack down the spies as soon as possible. Watching her raging grandfather, Jun Hua sighed. She chooses to return to her room and rest since she doesn't have much time for resting anymore. That emperor would surely choose a hard mission for them and possibly do something to hinder her.
Xia helped Jun Hua changed and washes before the girl sleep. Early next morning, Jun Hua already wakes up and she lazily comes out from her bed. The comfortable bed is a luxury for her and she feels slightly reluctant to get up, but she has to.
"Xia."
"Yes miss," Xia helped Jun Hua to prepare her makeup, but after she has put all of it in order on the table, she retreated back.
Jun Hua pick up a face mask and wear it on her face. The face of Jun Hua is highly feminine and it will be hard for her to pass as a boy with that face. Because of that, when she's on the battlefield, she will wear a face mask. The feature of the face mask didn't differ much from her face, but it's much more boy-like. If one sees her face after she wears the face mask, they would at most think her as a flower boy.
After putting the face mask, Jun Hua proceeds to wear some lotion on her skin to make it darker. Her original skin is fair white like snow, but after she used it, she looks tanned.
Finishing the skin, Jun Hua tied up her hair to make a bun and considerably make her hair looks far shorter. Since she always uses this way to do her hair, she is already proficient with men hairstyle so it doesn't take her too long to finish her hair.
Lastly, Jun Hua picks up a blue robe and wears it. She cannot wear armor in the capital unless she's planning to go to war. The robe makes her looks like a refined scholar not a general. On the side, Xia sighed deeply. If only her miss is a genuine man, there will be countless woman falls for his just from his appearance. Even Xia herself cannot help, but feeling that she would definitely fall for Jun Hua if it's not because she knows that she's a girl.
Seeing the stunned expression on Xia face, Jun Hua laughed, "Have you fallen for me again, Xia?"
Xia blushed, "I don't... It's your fault for being so handsome."
Jun Hua laughed, she loves to tease Xia since the girl would easily blush. Jun Hua waved her hand and a girl dressed in black appeared. Her stature is similar with Jun Hua, but her face is highly different.
"Min, you stay here and stayed alert. If there's anyone looking for Jun Hua, just appeared and act like a shy girl."
"Yes Miss."
The girl in black is one of Jun Hua bodyguard. She's a trained assassin and her job mainly is to substitute Jun Hua if she needs to appear as both Jun Min and Jun Hua. Other than that, she needs to protect Jun Hua in case she requires it.
"Xia, you stay here too."
Xia nodded. She knows that she cannot follow Jun Hua when she's dressed as Jun Min or people would feels suspicious.
Aftershe's done with the instruction, Jun Hua proceeds to go to the castle.
