Chapter 3

Sorry for disappearing folks, work has been pretty demanding.

Chapter 3

The last thing Adrian expected when he walked in to his office.

"Max" he exclaimed surprised, Max was the last person he was expecting in the room.

"what are you doing here? Is everything ok?" Adrian asked concerned.

"Relax Adrian. Everything is perfect" Max said and added "Have a seat, I need to speak to you about something"

Adrian moved towards his seat worried, sat down and waited.

"I believe it's time I get more productive" Max stated.

"I see" Adrian responded, he did not see at all.

"I mean I want to get back in to things, I see Evy is overwhelmed...she is carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders and I can't stand seeing her this way" he explained.

"Max" Adrian relaxed and added empathically "I know what you mean and all of us are trying to help the best we can..."

"I know" Max said, "I know you all are...I just want to add my bit."

"Max" Adrian hesitated and added "Without your wolf...it..is...you...know..." Adrian fumbled with his words, who would listen to him without his wolf and not to mention his dear wifey was now the Roma boss. Adrian cringed at the thought of Max coming to know about it, nothing good would come out of it he was sure and Roma wanting to hide it would only make it worst.

"How about the business side of things?" Max broke in to Adrian's thoughts. "I know it would be too weird to jump in to the wolf world without my wolf, so let me get back in to the business side of things." Max suggested.

Adrian chewed on this thought, it was a good idea, very good idea. Roma always struggled to run the business side of the Roma empire and Max would be heaven sent.

"I don't see why not" Adrian agreed with Max.

Max sighed with relief "Thanks, sitting alone is driving me crazy and you will not believe how busy my wife is...I hardly get to see her." Max complained grudgingly. You don't know the half of it Adrian thought wryly

"I need to occupy myself before I go mad and snap at someone." Max stated.

"I agree, why not, let me check with R...Evelyn" Adrian fumbled. Roma was going to create a clusterfuck of confusion. He had been about to address her as Roma and Evelyn did not feel right anymore.

Max's eyebrows rose in surprise and Adrian immediately understood Max's confusion.

"I mean let me inform Evelyn that she does not have to worry about the business side anymore as you will be taking over" Adrian corrected himself.

Max just nodded and added "Good"

"And also" Max said leaning over the desk across Adrian's seat "I think it's time I know the complete story since the time I went in to coma" Max added "I need to know everything that happened Adrian."

"I understand Max" Adrian said "But, it's a long story and there is a lot to take in. For today go to your office a settle down will send some e-mail's over on what's happening in our business so you can go through them and start taking over. If it's ok we can start catching up from tomorrow." Adrian added.

Max looked at Adrian for a moment and said "Fine. Tomorrow will see you in my office, will need your help to get started and it's time I knew what the hell is going on around here."
