Chapter Twenty Six
We lay on the hotel beds, Lissa talking to Banana about something that happened in Paris while I looked up at the ceiling, noticing water marks and yellowing white paint. I had my iPod in my ears, blasting the music as loud as it would go, trying to calm down from the long ride. The loud words blended together as I tried not to focus on anything, it was just background noise that would keep me from focusing on the talk coming from the other girls in the room. I barely heard the knock on the door before the natural light flooded in from the open door, I shot up off the bed. Sitting up straight to see who was walking into the room.
“It’s about time you guys showed up,” Lissa laughed, “And you thought my car wouldn’t make it” she teased Shaun as he dragged in his bag.
“Don’t ever do that again, Shaun couldn’t fix a car to save his life” Claire threw herself on the bed next to me.
Shaun dropped the bag from his hands, making a loud thud when it hit the floor, and went to Lissa. He grabbed her around the waist, pulling her against him with a semi possessive look in his eyes. Lissa laughed, hugging him back and resting her head on his chest. I started to pull the earphones out of my ears reluctantly turning it off. I wound the wires around the iPod, quickly but neatly, throwing it back into my bag before arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me away. I couldn’t fight a smile, laughing and pulling against him playfully as he pulled me against his body, kissing my neck lightly. We were suddenly surrounded in light and he let me go so I could turn around. I looked into Andy’s eyes as I took a step back, pressing my back up against the wall. His hands went on either side of my body, leaning against the wall over me, he leaned in. He gave me no room to escape but I wasn’t going to try. I smiled just as his lips touched mine, my hands going to his neck.
“Hi” I smiled, pulling back slightly.
Instead of greeting me, his lips came back to mine. He kissed me deeply, his hands moving from the wall to the top of my trackies, pulling our bodies closer together. I let my hand run through his hair as he bit my bottom lip lightly. I wasn’t the only one who had troubles staying away. His arms squeezed around my waist slightly then he pulled away, leaving his arms wrapped around me in a lazy hug. We looked at each as I took in where we were. He had pulled me outside. I looked down the line of his body, his t-shirt and jeans framing his figure well while giving me enough room to play along the tops of his pants. He kissed me again, this time lightly and quickly before taking my hand.
“How bored did you get in the car?” he asked, testing me.
“Oh, how could I get bored? You gave me something to look at” I laughed, starting to walk back into the room and dragging him with me.
“...so you decide to show everyone my favourite place?” we walked in while Shaun was midsentence, Lissa looked up at him in a questioning glare, “Okay, second favourite” he corrected himself.
“Yes” she smiled, sitting back on the bed with Banana.
I held onto Andy’s hand tightly, pulling him towards the other side of the room. He pulled against me playfully as I had done to him before but he came. I went behind Shaun, trying not to break the staring contest that seemed to have started when Lissa had moved from Shaun’s grip. I wasn’t going to get in the middle of this. It wasn’t a fight, she was messing around with him but it wasn’t something I wanted to get involved it. Andy must have thought differently. Suddenly Shaun went forward, catching himself quickly before stepping into Lissa. Andy laughed, suddenly in a hurry to catch up to me. His arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me in close and I couldn’t help but laugh at his feeble attempts to protect himself.
